When DD was a newborn we used a family heirloom cradle beside our bed for the first few months she was in our room. However, its made of wood and just too big for our bedroom now. I'm looking for something small!
Any ideas?

I like our arms reach cosleeper. The halo cosleeper looks pretty awesome too. But we got the arms reach used for $50 so I don't know if I'd pay full price for the halo!

@Autumnmama79: rock n play. DD slept in it for naps and nighttime for the first 2 months. She'd fall asleep in it downstairs after dinner and I'd carry it upstairs for overnight and put it right by my bed

I used a pack n play with my 1st and rock n play with my 2nd. Loved the rock n play!

@Autumnmama79: I guess.. it's not a chair though. it's taller and bigger.

@Autumnmama79: not really a bouncey chair. Ours was similar to this.

We use the rock n play for our 2 month old and it is perfect. She sleeps great in it.

Rock N Play was a game changer! The way it's angled, the sloping breathable sides,.. he slept great in it, right next to our bed.

@Mamasig: Neat! Did you find it was a good height for beside your bed? Like you could roll over and easily soothe/pick up LO?

@Autumnmama79: I did have to physically get out of the bed to pick him up. But if he started fussing a bit, I would just lean over and rock it a bit with my hand. He'd fall asleep in no time. It also had a vibrating function that helped in the early days too. I think now they even have automatic ones. It's been one of my favorite baby items!

@Autumnmama79: We used the bassinet that came with our stroller and ordered the stand for it. We used that next to our bed in our room until DD was 3.5 months and she outgrew the weight limit!

We have an arms reach co sleeper as well, it goes right up against the bed so you don't have to get up.

We used the bassinet that came with UBV on a jolly jumper rocking stand

LOVED the Arm's reach mini co-sleeper (smaller than the regular arm's reach co-sleeper). It was the perfect size for our bedroom. It didn't hurt that we got it for free.

I have an automatic rock n play. My 8 day old likes it so far! I think it's a great height for our bed, though I do have to sit up to get him out

We used the arms reach cosleeper with DS and will be using it again when LO2 arrives. Love it!!

I really loved the Halo bassinest, it pulls right up to the bed, and swivels out so you don't have to get up to get the baby, and you don't have to climb around it.

@Autumnmama79: I had the arms reach mini Co sleeper as well. Loved it. It comes with extendable legs built in so you don't have to buy extenders like you do for the full size version. All 4 legs have wheels so you can move it around. We still have it in our room. It's the folded laundry station now (ok, and general crap-catch all for our room) and was a safe place to put baby during showers once we moved her to her crib.

Arms reach cosleeper--mini. To me it was great to not have a rough transition to the crib. They were both flat surfaces so fortunately the transition was seamless.

If we have another baby and I have another c-section, I will want to splurge for that HALO cosleeper! It was hard to reach lower into a bassinet and pick her up. I borrowed one from a family member and used the Rock n' Play, too.
