We don't have enough room in our bedroom for a crib, so until we figure out the space issue this baby is going to be in our room in either a bassinet or a pack n play.
I'd prefer a pack n play because we'll get more use out of it, my husband is leaning more towards a bassinet. I'm clueless when it comes to bassinets because out of all of our kids, I've never used one!
I need your help pretty please

I'm hoping to get a Moses basket and stand. They don't take up a ton of room, it rocks, and later on I can store things in the basket. We have a small bedroom (11x12ish) so a PnP won't fit well.

We are planning to use a Rock and Play while the baby is in our room. We did get a PnP too, but for traveling and I don't plan to set it up at home.
My stroller also has a bassinet that I can use for night time sleeping if the RnP doesn't work out but then I would probably get a stand for it since we'll be leaving the big stroller downstairs.

We use the rock n play. It is handy because the incline helps in cases of reflux.

@Foodnerd81: Do you have the UppaBaby? I've been looking at just the bassinet, I passed one up with a stand for $125 and I am kicking myself now.

@StbHisMrs: Yeah, I have the UB Vista which comes with the bassinet. I see the bassinet alone on my local Craigslist from time to time. I don't know if that $125 would be that great a deal-- I think you could find something just as good for cheaper if you only need it for sleeping-- like I feel like you could find a more multi-purpose solution for that amount.

We have a bassinet, but the pack n play would have worked just as well. What about a pack n play that has a bassinet feature?

We are going to be living in our current loft after the little one arrives (nov.) until he’s about 4 months old & due to the size of our space I’d love to find a stand-in until we move somewhere that more comfortably fits a full size crib!

@sarah.clarisse: I don't even have a LO on the way yet!! I'm just overly obsessed with researching baby gear. I live in a small condo so I would need something tiny like this for my bedroom. I'm not too interested in the co-sleeper. And I like that the baby bjorn is see-through-ish.

The Fisher Price Rock & Play was my #1 essential baby item for the newborn stage. So many people talk about soothing their baby and then having to transition them into the crib and waking them up. I used to sit on the floor and rock the R&P forever until she fell asleep and then just tiptoe away. We ended up moving her into her own room in it to transition her easily too. She slept in it for 5 months. It folds up so you can easily take it to the grandparents or whatever - and it's affordable. Lifesaver.

We used a travel Pack & Play- we have a smaller room, and it fit better than most things. I've never really understood the bassinets since you use them for such a short time. We still use the P&P 18 months later.
Next time I'm interested in using the Rock n' Play too.
