I haven't bought a new bikini in years! I haven't WORN a bathing suit in at least 2 years! I need something new this summer .... with LO here now and in-laws having a pool just down the street, it's inevitable/unavoidable!
Where do you guys find cute, flattering, not ridiculously expensive suits? I have looked at Target, Old Navy, J Crew, Victoria's Secret, ASOS, and Lands End so far. Nothing caught my eye ...

I'm not a bikini person so I'm really loving this one from Loft! Plus they are having 30% off promotion today....
Typically though, I get mine from Jcrew. They last forever if you take care of them!

J. Crew was where I got mine - maybe they haven't come out with the cute ones yet. Mine is really flattering.
I also love the ones at Albion fit. I have my eye on the black/white ruffled one piece. I have had good success with modcloth as well.
ETA: I don't buy bikinis anymore either since my stomach is a map of stretch marks. But i know someone who loves venus for bikinis.

First, what kind of suit are you looking for . . . bikini, tankini, one piece? And secondly, what areas would you like to highlight and any areas you aren't so comfortable with?

My favorite suits come from JCrew (the one shoulder style with ruching) and Athleta (tankinis with an athletic skort as a cover up).
eta: the main thing that has changed for me is that i need a suit that stays in place. You're not alone in the pool anymore, you've got a kid that's going to be grabbing you from all directions and you need a suit that can handle that!

@MsLipGloss: I have always worn two piece in the past. I have had a tankini style top with regular bottoms, halter kind of top with boyshorts, etc.
it's been soooo long and my body is so different now! I am currently trying to eat better and workout more, but my insecurity lies in my belly. I love my legs, I have good arms (I'm thin overall, just the belly is my major issue), and my nursing boobs need a boost! I'd go with a supportive/padded top for sure!
I'm open to one pieces, but I'm leaning more towards two pieces.

Check out figleaves.com - you can order by bra size (for those of us with vastly different bottoms from tops, that can be a life saver!) All the suits I've gotten from there have been good quality and have lasted 3+ years so far.

I got mine from TJ Maxx. I think it's La Blanca brand, which they carry at Macy's, but I got it at a fraction of the cost. Will see if it fits this year (bought it last year when boobs were bigger and I was a little slimmer). But, they always have a pretty good selection. Last year, when DD was just over 1 and still nursing heavily, I was looking for underwire cups that I could easily pull down to nurse in. TJ Maxx had the most cheap options for a little more support.

@cmomma17: Are you going to be wearing this while you're with your LO? If so, I would recommend straps . . . less tugging, and fewer chances for (nip/boob) slips!

I was really happy with a suit i got at White house/Black market. Theres a local store in the NJ/Philly area called Cameo Swimwear that sells all sorts of brands I got 2 Trina Turk suits that i love before my honeymoon a few years ago similar brands to bloomingdales but they run great sales

@cmomma17: i was really happy with the quality and fit of the suit from WH/BM esp since i was buying it sight unseen.... American eagle or Pacific sunwear too skimpy/teenager? I'm kind of a bathing suit collector of sorts I buy way too many each season

@cmomma17: I'm glad you asked this since I'm hoping to take C swimming and the loose waisted J Crew tankini I bought while pregnant is a little too boobalicious and therefore tempting to my little grabby baby!
