We are gearing up for a bathroom renovation. I had some contractors out this morning and we're waiting to hear back on the estimates. Just from hearing them talk, I'm already sure it will be more than we were hoping! Our house was built in '59 and this is the original pink tile master bathroom. It will need to be gutted with new plumbing, sink, tub, etc. I don't think we have the skills necessary to do much DIY.

How did you keep costs down on your bathroom reno? Any great renovation tips? Any pics you want to share?
