We are on the hunt for a semi-dim battery powered lamp for LO's room. We love reading to her before bed, but her overhead light is way to bright, and she only has on plug (really?) in her entire room.
Anyone have something like this? Links?

Is your DH handy enough to swap her switch out for a dimmer?

Yeah, I would install a dimmer switch on your light, it's not too hard, and those switches aren't expensive.

We have this one, it's great because I charge it during the day but then it runs on the battery so I don't have to worry about cords in their room at night. Plus it isn't hot to the touch so it's safe for little hands.

@hellobeeboston: @regberadaisy: We rent, and the house is 110 years old. While I think he *could* do it, I'm not sure I want to go that route. BUT, that is a good idea.

@Veggiemama: That's awesome. Looks like it's directional, and could be bright enough for book reading. Thank you!!

@littlejoy: yes, you can move it all around! We use it for bedtime reading (and turn off the other lights) every night with the kids.
