I picked up Modern Lovers by Emma Straub for our upcoming vacation but am already half way through it. What have you read lately that you loved? Looking for diet-lite fiction but not trash

Do you like biographies? I read Angelica Hustons and Alec Baldwins recently and they are both fantastic.

The Forever Summer by Jamie Brenner, the Hopefuls by Jennifer Close, the Identicals by Elin Hilderbrand, and Rich People Problems by Kevin Kwan are some I've read in the last few weeks - they would all make fantastic vacation reads.

It's not light-hearted and fun but I started Into the Water by Paula Hawkins (The Girl on the Train) and loving it. Finally settled at the shore house so I'm planning to start really digging in during naptimes!
I'm also behind on the last couple of Emily Giffin books so I plan to read those while here.

@erinbaderin: Oooh, I'm actually starting The Identicals today
@sweetiepie: your comment made me go check Giffins most recent books and it looks like I'm also behind. I need to get caught up!
Like a couple others recommended, Liane Moriarty and Elin Hilderbrand are both great.

Invincible Summer by Alice Adams was a great vacation read, very similar to Modern Lovers. Also recommend: The Nest, The Last Letter from Your Lover by Jojo Moyes and Saints for All Occasions by J Courtney Sullivan.

I recently read Anna Kendrick's book Scrappy Little Nobody and thought it was a pretty fun lighthearted look into Hollywood.

@erinbaderin: @Caly: I just started the Identicals today too! I always read Elin Hilderbrand in the summer. I love reading about life on Nantucket!

@mrsjd: I forgot that I intended to read the Anjelica Huston bio! She has so much good gossip to spill. Kind of want to find it on someone's stoop instead of paying for it though
