Great question! I've seen so many options out there but we haven't pulled the trigger yet.

I wasn't a fan of the traditional bed rails so I used pool noodles under the bed sheet for both kids - they worked perfectly!

@Mamaof2: my LO still moves around a lot...I am kinda worried. Do you think the noodles are better for kids who mostly stay in one area?

@autumnlove: my kids move a lot and all over the place! I think (don't know for sure) that their body feels this barrier and then naturally moves away?? I have found them both snuggled up next to it but neither ever fell out while it was there

No rails or noodles for my DS, but his bed is only about 12" off of the ground.

@autumnlove: these are the ones I used but found them at Wal-Mart for $5 each def bigger than probably what you are thinking of when I say pool noodle
