which term do you use to refer to the stand/mini dresser/etc that is next to your bed?
I used to say nightstand but lately I've started saying bedside table - not sure where that came from!

I keep saying "night table" but I was shy about it because no one says that...

nightstand, I think bedside table is the furniture store term though.

@Rubies: night table! We say that around here although when I think about it it doesn't make much sense!

I say nightstand if I mean a piece of furniture with a bottom cabinet, but bedside table if it's just a table. I don't know if that's a valid distinction but it is in my head.
