My 7 week old has started falling into his own pattern of three naps a day and his first night time stretch has lengthened to about 4-5 hours, then goes to 2-3 hour stretches the rest of the night.
I am debating putting him down to sleep at 7/7:30 pm as he really starts getting crabby at that point and he has usually been up 2 hours since his last nap. He wakes up at about 7/8 am each day.
What do you think? Is that too early at this age? Will he benefit from the earlier bedtime this young? Also I'm selfishly worried that I'll be setting myself up for less sleep at night if he gets his first long stretch in while I'm awake
I will probably just test it out to see how he does but just wanted to see if anyone has any experience with early bedtimes and babies under 3 months. Thanks!
