How do you plan out TTC?
I just found out I have a ton of travelling to do over the next 2-3 months. I would prefer not to travel around O time for maximum opportunity but that may not be the case.

Can your SO meet up with you at any point? Other than that...I am not sure if there are many more options.

I went to a two week training missing all of o week in July. We used preseed and prayed it'd last 7 days until I O'ed lol. DH travels every week and sometimes would completely miss o week. I'm talking we live in DC, he's in California, so no I can't meet up with him, or travel with because I work! What I would do during that time was focus on being healthy, going hard at spin class (I worried about spin during tww), and take that as an opportunity to even further get my body ready to carry a baby. It made me feel like I wasn't totally missing out if that makes sense! Good luck! I'm pulling for you.

@dc yoga bee: I like that thought!
I only saw DH on weekends. Took pressure off of the TWW when our timing would not make a positive possible.
It took us 6 cycles over 7 months for it to happen. Our positive cycle was O-4, O-3, and O-2, so not perfect fertility coverage.
I think what helped me was tracking my cycle and temping. Gave me something to do during the week and saved on pregnancy tests when it wasn't in the cards that cycle.

@babycanuck: My job requires quite a bit of travel but there was some flexibility, I would have to travel during a specific week but I could go which ever days were most convenient so I would just try and make sure to be home as close to O as possible. Is the travel flexible at all? How many nights generally?

I used to travel for work 4 days a week while we were thinking about #1. Luckily my ovulation was always around the weekend and we were very lucky and conceived the 2nd month.
This time it was my DH that traveled 3-4 days a week. Again O was around the weekend (and I have clockwork 28 day cycles) so we shockingly and very luckily got pregnant with #2 the first month not using protection.
I hope it all works out for you really, really soon. I'll be thinking of you.

@babycanuck: Just roll with it. My husband is gone a lot for work, and it sucks...If we weren't pregnant by the end of the year, we were going to have to enlist help for 2015 due to my age and the fact that he was conveniently never here anywhere near ovulation. But then the month he was actually home and I used O sticks, we got pregnant. So short of arranging for a fertility clinic to store his sperm and do an IUI when you ovulate, you just have to hope for the best:) If we can get pregnant with my husband's schedule (3 weeks away at a time), then I hold out a lot of hope for you!!!

Probably not what you want to hear but I changed jobs. My old job joked that they were making me travel so much so I couldn't get knocked up.

Thanks everyone!
I'll be gone for 4-5 days a week for sure, unsure right now of the exact timing and where I'll be, but DH will be here at home working. I'll just pray for the best and DTD as much as we can when we're together lol
@Corduroy: This particular project will need a lot of travel in the beginning and then will slow down a LOT so I can do training remotely

DH travels every Mon-Thurs for work. I just started temping/charting right from the start so that I could know what months we completely missed our window (or just had terrible timing because we were in different time zones). That way I wouldn't stress so much during the TWW. It took us 4 cycles to get pregnant (and luckily we never completely missed the window).
