@MamaMoose: LOVE Annies! We call them bunny bums, because of the bunny bum on the open tab. I ate some for lunch today!
I can't wait to do this! Will update with pictures in a bit!

@MamaMoose: @lawbee11: @.twist.: @MsLipGloss: Oh Annie's is in heavy rotation in the Smurf house! Buy it at Costco!
@swedishfish: I cooked them in the microwave, does that count?!?

We had boxed Kraft Mac n cheese tonight and that's a pretty normal meal for us when DH is gone. She did so well!

We have the same plates, love them! Tonight was. Good eating night--he ate everything, including a huge pile of peas!

Mmmmm you're making me hungry for Annies!
So happy her appetite is back!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@swedishfish: Nope! Tyson! Our grocery store doesn't have many organic options.
GOLD / watermelon / 14076 posts
@Smurfette: M still doesn't eat table food so she had sweet potatoes & corn for dinner and half a container of banana & mixed berries for dessert She ate it all up! Oh, and I can one-up you in the non-approval department: it was store-bought Gerber (not organic) AND in plastic containers
How will she survive?!

hahah. we eat loooots of..processed..food here. whatevvvvs.
O had all her crockpot lasagna, a couple pieces of broccoli (I hid in the lasagna!) and a crescent roll. lol!
we have a divided plate, too, but if I give her multiple options she only eats the one thing that she deems the best. and won't entertain the rest. so I start giving her the "grossest" (veggies) first, when she's really hungry!

No pictures but C ate cheese and strawberries and blueberries. Mommy ate the scrambled egg with spinach and cheese (that she loved on Monday but refused tonight) and the yogurt (that she used to love). All she wants is cheese and fruit. All day.
pomegranate / 3858 posts
S ate her alphabet pasta with ricotta and tomato sauce, half an avocado, a chicken finger, a taste of spinach strawberry smoothie (she's not a fan of smoothies, so that's a win for me!), and some bunny crackers she was hungry tonight!

Grilled Chicken (frozen chicken that we heat in the microwave - gasp!), strawberries and blueberries. He ate it all!

Ok, so the little stinker was super impatient about dinner tonight, so no pics.
He did have Rice, steamed: Broccoli, Cauliflower, Carrots, and, chicken fingers!
Grapes for dessert.
Gobbled it all up. (well, the rice mostly ended up all over him rather than in him)

@lawbee11: Girl! R ate those plastic containers too! She ate great! Is she eating three meals now?
@Foodnerd81: R would eat cheese and fruit all day. And it is so annoying when they eat something and then two days doesn't like it.

M decided to eat like a maniac tonight. Two veggie pouches while I was getting her meal ready, two cups of mandarin oranges, SEVEN chicken nuggets, about 1/2 cup of Lima beans, and then blueberries and watermelon for dessert. Then she tried to steal my husband's yogurt. I do not understand how she is in the 20th %ile for weight
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@lawbee11: BTW, your house is way fancier then us. I would serve it out of the plastic containers
@MamaMoose: wow!!! where does she out it. R had three nuggets but didn't even finish them.

@Smurfette: Um, so jealous. Sadie would eat the grapes & that's it! The ped told us today we might need to see an OT if she doesn't improve with her eating before her 18m appt. Annnd, we love Pasta Roni - make no apologies, girl!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@photojane: well we are having to not give her milk with dinner to get her to eat now. Otherwise she drinks her dinner. Tonight was really good, but that isn't every night.
What does the pedi want? Just her to eat more in general?
GOLD / watermelon / 14076 posts
@Smurfette: Yes! She just started eating lunch at daycare this week so she's on 3 meals/day now. And they provide the purées so even better
@MamaMoose: Maybe we should start calling her the Bottomless Pit?!

Wow! I would be THRILLED if K ate that much, off a plate, and not end up mostly on the floor or me! We're still mainly living off purees here, with a few bites of table food when she'll have it.
cantaloupe / 6164 posts
@Smurfette: She thinks it's a texture aversion. Sadie won't even touch certain things. It doesn't matter how much I offer these things - it's not happening. She doesn't want Sadie to create bad eating habits already, and said the OT has tricks..? She's not malnourished (in the 43rd percentile), so I'm not that worried.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@lawbee11: holy crap!
@photojane: Glad that you aren't worried. Hopefully she turns around on her own!
pomegranate / 3895 posts
K is an insane eater. She pretty much always eats everything I put in front of her and would eat more if I let her!
Tonight was half a turkey burger, half a dozen sweet potato oven fries, broccoli, 5 oz of milk, and half a fruit pouch. Oh, and that cookie she sneakily found and ate after dinner
pear / 1639 posts
@heartonastring: Hahaha this sounds like R.
She will eat anything and everything. Tonight it was one breakfast sized chicken sausage, a cup of carrots, blueberries, and some deli turkey meat.
On the contrary, we struggle to get her to drink!
pomegranate / 3383 posts
@photojane: I saw this and was going to ask if she has texture aversions. From an OT (and parental) standpoint, there is little you can do at this age. Sure, an OT can introduce different textures to the mouth and tongue to desensitize them, but otherwise, you can't force a kid to eat! I think that as long as you're offering a variety of foods and being a good role model, then you're doing the best you can and she won't develop 'bad habits.' Your doctor doesn't know what he's talking about!

That's awesome! I love boxed pastas and quinoa options available at the grocery store. It helps make cooking much faster and less intimidating. I can't wait to see my toddler eat like this. We have good days and bad days, this whole week has been bad eater week.

@Smurfette: WOW! She ate SOOOOO well!
my two-year old would have probably eaten 4 or 5 of those pieces of grapes, maybe 2-3 pieces of chicken, and a bite or two of the pasta. that would be a normal night for her!
Tonight I made her a quesadilla with olives, bell peppers, zuchini, and ground beef (and cheese of course). She ate maybe 1/8 of the quesadilla and then had two small pieces of watermelon.

Our pictures would be a full bowl of jarred baby food (lasagne or pasta bolognese) followed by..... a full bowl of baby food. E is refusing to eat unless she can feed herself - I need to up my finger food game quick smart!
