Looking for recommendations on the best carrier for my 5-week-old for long walks while also pushing my 3-yr-old in a Bob stroller. Ergo? BabyBjorn? Others? Thank you!

I really loved the Babyhawk - I found it a nice mix of structured and unstructured. The Moby wasn’t enough and the Ergo was too much.

Beco! Sturdy enough for the floppy newborn stage but still comfy in a back carry with a 20+pound toddler.

We had a Tula with an infant insert but now I think they make one you don't need an insert for. My friends love their Lillebabies for infant to toddlerhood.

Lillebaby is great and very easy. We now use a a Beco toddler carrier but planning on using the Lillebaby with LO2. I can’t say that I prefer one over the other, I really liked that the Lillebaby does not require an insert and was very comfortable.
I switched to the Beco simply out of support for the local baby store that I try to shop atz

Love my lillebaby. I wore E for 6 hrs in it when she was 7 weeks old and have used it for plenty of walks since. It's great since it doesn't need an insert and has lumbar support.

I love the Beco 8! I've been wearing my daughter since she was born, sometimes for 6-8 hours a day. You can cross the straps in back for a more comfortable carry. It also comes with a little cushion that snaps in for newborn use.

I really loved my Ergo with the infant insert. It's super comfortable and just fit my body well. I got a Lillebaby when DD was about 8 months old, and found it to be very stiff, bulky, and the straps hard to adjust. I think I didn't give it enough of a chance though and hadn't broken it in, so I'm going to try it out when LO2 comes in June.

For a newborn, I really ended up liking wrap style. I used the Boba wrap with my 2nd and it was super snuggly and sturdy. Though if you want to go for a carrier, I'd get the Ergo Adapt or Tula Free to Grow so you don't need an insert! I love my Ergo and Tula! But I have older versions so I waited till my kids were big enough to go in without insert.

i liked my boba 3g for longer walks with a newborn (don't need an infant insert) and then tula when they were a little bigger. tula makes ones now without the need for an infant insert though!

@CatchAFallingStar: i love ergo but not in the newborn phase. It requires an insert for newborns and isn't that comfortable to use.

It really depends on what fits you and your baby. I really really liked a woven wrap for long carry times with my LO when they were small. Now I use a tula most the time. Although at 18 months and 28 pounds LO2 doesn't get carried that much these days. But I had him in it for over an hour yesterday and it was fine.

I personally loved my chimparoo. The support is great, no need for an infant insert and the material is very soft. I'd HIGHLY recommend finding your local babywearing club (they're usually on Facebook) and checking out their library or stopping by a store with a wide collection. I'm quite small, so the Tula, Ergo and Beco all swamped me and I couldn't adjust them small enough haha.

The Tula free-to-grow is awesome! Works from 7 lbs up to 45 lbs and super comfy.
