Any ideas for a good baby/new mom gift for a mom expecting her 2nd LO in January? She is team green and has an older son that she was also team green for. Thanks!
ETA this will be a group gift from 4 of us, so it can be a bit on the more expensive/bigger side.

@cmomma17: he's almost 2.5, so not tooo long since she had a newborn. Hm that's a good idea though, maybe I"ll look at some of the stuff that was at the last baby expo!

@hilsy85: Do you know where the baby will sleep when it's born? I hear of a lot of 2nd times moms talking about changing their initial set up. And I think the Halo Bassinest looks awesome and want one when we have another

@Foodnerd81: pretty sure the baby will be in her room, I think she has a bassinet from her first kid though. I also love the look of that bassinet! Maybe next time

@hilsy85: I think there are websites that do diaper bundles. Like you can give the gift of diapers for a year or 6 months (if she's doing disposables). I would love that as a gift!

@lawbee11: I'm always hesitant to buy diapers since I feel like people are so specific...? or maybe it's just around here. Like I know some moms who ONLY use honest co diapers, and others who ONLY use earth's best. I think that is an AWESOME gift though and I am saving it in case someone asks me what to get when I am pregnant again!

My ideal baby gift would be;
A big basket of snacks I could eat one handed. Lots of protein bars and chocolate and nuts.
A gift card to Papa Murphy's or something easy.
A gift card for a pedicure or a nice bottle of lotion/lip gloss/Something pampering.
A new set of A&A blankets. Or something sentimental. Second kids have the practical stuff but not the sentimental stuff.
Or a gift card to a local photographer so they can get family pictures.

@jedeve: all fab ideas! I love the snack basket idea, but maybe will send that once the baby is here (we're throwing the sprinkle in November bc of holidays, so I feel like the snacks would be gone ). I agree that 2nd babes usually just get hand me downs so something of their own would be nice.

Will the new baby be born in the same season as her first? A really nice bunting or other cold weather gear might be helpful.
Some type of baby wearing option might be helpful too if she doesn't already have something she loves.

I have heard great things about the A&A bibs. They didn't have those 2 years ago when my son was born. And you can always use new bibs - I know our old ones are disgusting. Maybe a bunch of bibs along with some new swaddle blankets and a lovey. Kinda like an A&A gift set. Their stuff is so great but more than someone typically wants to spend on themself!

@hilsy85: since our oldest was born (3yrs) they've come out with a rockaroo & a rocking RnP (that might not be released yet).
I would be thrilled to get either of those!
And the ergo360- we want one, but can't find one anywhere! Going nuts looking for one haha

@hilsy85: Does she have a carrier she likes? Maybe an Ergo? I'd think a carrier would come in handy if she is also chasing a toddler.

Babycottons 0-3 months pima cotton clothes (seriously the best newborn clothes), matching Hanna Andersson sleepers in a gender neutral pattern for nb and 2 year old, or kiehls products for mom and baby. Basically anything she likes, but feels a bit bad spending $$ on!

I would also say a baby carrier if she's interested in baby wearing at all or a prenatal massage, but that one is more for mom!
