I'm not really looking to spend money on a carrier, but I know of a WAHM who makes affordable ring slings, so I am considering one. I have an Ergo ("Options", so the thick canvas) and a k'tan. My kids run hot and get sweaty pretty easily.
Not sure what to do for this summer with my infant..I need hands free to be able to help/play with my toddler when we're outside or at a museum, park, etc.

We just used the Ergo. I have an organic and it's black. Sometimes we would get hot, but it was okay.

I really like my linen ring sling for hot weather.
I don't think the K'tan is too hot but the moby and ergo DEF are. I've heard good things about the boba wrap not being too hot but there are still a few layers of fabric since its a wrap.

I find that wearing my LOs on my hip keeps us both cooler. I guess there's just less body to body contact? I use a woven wrap, but a ring sling would work perfectly!

I'm thinking Disney this fall, too - it'll be warm, maybe a ring sling (hip carry) would be easier? I know the Ergo can hip carry but I really never got the hang of it. C will be just 10 months when we go.

i'm having a summer baby and purchased a linen ring sling to try and accommodate for the weather. we'll see how it goes!

I have the Ergo Ventus. It has mesh instead of canvas. I thought that was the airiest option possible.

@sorrycharlie: for disney i would say ergo. my ring sling isn't half as supportive as the ergo is because it is just a single linen (not as heavy/supportive as a woven or double linen) we were totally fine in the ergo by late september (we live in the northeast).
