I really like our Foonf. It sits up high so DD can see out the window, narrow width, has extended RF, is very easy to install (especially FF)....I also like the steel frame. I know it was a lot of $$, but considering we use it multiple times a day, I feel like we have gotten our money's worth.

We loved our Combi Coccoro! But we replaced it with a Recaro because our son got within a couple pounds of the Combi's RF limit right around his 18mo birthday.

The Recaro is fine but it's HUGE in comparison. T seems comfy in it though!

We have recently switched to the Graco 4ever and we really love it! It came down to this seat or the Britax Boulevard Clicktight. On paper I liked the Britax better but DD fit in the Graco better when we tested them in store! DH also had a really hard time using the button to loosen the straps on the Britax, although it wasn't an issue for me.

I recommend joining car seats for the littles on facebook - they can help with suggestions based on your LOs stats, your vehicle, and your budget. It really helped me narrow down my options!

We love our Chicco NextFit. The install is a breeze, you always know its installed securely, and it fits great in our Jeep Grand Cherokee, our Prius, and a tiny beater Corolla we have for my mom to use. DS is super comfortable in it too.

Something else to consider is that some of the convertibles can also be used as boosters later.

The Car Seat Detective blog was really helpful to me. We plan to go with the Diono Rainier because of its great height/weight limits for extended rear facing and its ability to be a booster later. Caveat that we don't actually own it yet though.

Our Graco's have been great, I've gotten both off Black Friday sales for great prices. I borrowed a Britax convertible once and absolutely hated it, the Graco is a much better fit for us both financially and in comfort for the kiddos.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of those seats. There are a ton of options in the convertible market, just remember that more expensive does not equal safer.

Can you try them in your car? We have a Clek Foonf that we love. I tried that and the NextFit in my sedan and found the Foonf took up way less space front to back because it sat high enough that the head rest was under the way it was angled, if that makes sense. The nextfit and my seat both angled back at just the same/wrong height. I liked too that it was narrow in width so we wouldn't have to change our cars just on account of more kids or car seats down the road.

I'd check out Car Seats for the Littles or the Car Seat Lady. You should take into consideration your vehicle and your child's stats before determining which seat is best for you.

Our DS is on the taller side and I wanted him to RF as long as possible, so we went with the Graco Size4Me, which has one of the tallest RF maximums, yet is also fairly slim. We got it on sale + Graco rebate for less than $100. He's 16 months old now and has been in it since 8 months (when he outgrew his infant seat), with no end in sight!

We have a maxi cosi pria 70 and a graco mysize 65. Love both! Just switched DD to the graco at 40 months due to hitting height limit for the maxi cosi. DS is now in the maxi cosi. They are working great!
