I like yes organic lubricant- a bit pricey, but a little goes a long way. They also have several variations for different needs.

Yes to coconut oil but only if you're not using latex condoms as BC.

@Adira: We still use KY but I will give coconut oil a try next time. I never thought to use it.

@simplyfelicity: I'm not sure. I'll check what it says when I'm home! I had a third degree tear and it took 8 months to have pain free sex,.. All thanks to coconut oil! Seriously amazing. And I'm not the type to be using it for everything. It's the only time we use it, lol! It just works so well.

@Mrs. Champagne: Ok, thanks! Coldpressed is the kind that hardens below 77 degrees or something and fractionated is always in liquid form.

@simplyfelicity: I use cold pressed, but have never tried fractionated. Not sure it matters? I like how coconut oil is more solid in your hands, but when you rub it it turns to liquid. Not messy, not sticky, moisturizing, and smells yummy!

@Mrs. High Heels: I just wasn't sure if it would be "chunky" and get all up in one's lady bits but if it melts completely that would be fine and probably less likely to lead to spillage on the sheets.

@Mrs. High Heels: @Mrs. Champagne: does the coconut oil last longer than other lubricants? I feel like ky is good for two seconds! Ha

Coconut oil!
I never used fractionated oil but I have used refined and unrefined.
The biggest different is refined has no smell and is smoother. Unrefined has a coconut smell and has a slightly grainy feel until it warms up all the way. We buy like half gallon jugs of it and use it for everything. We keep some in a small container in our bed room for lube. It's nice because its solid at room temp and we just rub all around to melt it.
I don't think we've had to reapply it during sexy times. Maybe once or twice during long sessions, but it stays pretty oily for a while. It has lasted longer then some of the fancy lubes I've bought.
However it is an oil so it can stain sheets if you get a big glob on it. So watch out for that, but it's always washed out for me.
I will note that cats and dogs like to lick it and I've had both lick it off my legs when I use it as a moisturizer. (It won't hurt them at all) And we left the lid off once and found my cat with her face in our lube jar. It became the cat jar after that and we got a new lube one....

We have been using Slippery Stuff for years. It is a medium consistency water-based lubricant, although they have two formulations, and has great staying power. It contains no glycerin, so if you are prone to yeast infections, this is fantastic. It is also odorless and tasteless, compatible with all forms of birth control and sex toys, and doesn't stain.

@Mrs. Goose: I think so! Haven't used KY in forever, but I've never had to reapply Coconut Oil.

I never found commercial lube to be all that great. It was always sticky and ended up gloppy after awhile. But coconut oil is totally smooth and lasts quite awhile. I have used unrefined and refined, usually whatever's on sale (refined has no smell). I actually prefer it to be solid because it's easier to apply when it's solid.
But you also shouldn't use oil-based lube if you're using condoms because it breaks down the latex.

@simplyfelicity: I think I'd have to say unrefined. At first I wasn't to fond of the unrefined stronger smell but I've gotten used to and like it now. The texture is just slightly different and I can't say exactly what it is but I like there something about the unrefined I like slightly better.
You can mix other oils into it as well, like essential oils or olive or avocado oil to help with the smell. But you should research the added oils before using them with coconut oil that will be use as lube. I've only mixed it up for deep conditioning treatments for my hair and skin.

Coconut oil. I like the fractionated kind (always stays liquid no matter the temp and doesn't have a scent)
