What were some of the best memories you have of little things your Mom did with you or for you as a child? Or maybe ways she held herself, dealt with issues, had a relationship with your Dad...etc! What made her the best in your eye's?

My mom was amazing when we were little because she was so CREATIVE!
Especially with birthday parties for example. She'd DIY (wasn't a term at the time) so many things! My bday is St. Patty's day and she'd do things like make a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow bean bag toss game, make green paper crowns for all the kids to decorate with gold stickers, etc. One year she cut out a million green shamrocks and then one gold one. We got to throw them all in the air and whoever found the gold one got a prize! She was the BEST at stuff like that!
Little every day things too, like notes in our lunch boxes.

As a kid, I don't know if I appreciated her enough but as an adult, I have ENORMOUS respect for my mom. She and my dad were both amazing people and now that I'm a mom I really can't understand how they did it!
They had 6 kids. My mom was a teacher full time. My parents also owned a large day care and my mom was the director. My dad was a commercial airline pilot and so was gone for 3 days at a time and my mom did it all alone!
She made dinner every single night. A real dinner!
She made us big special breakfasts on weekends
She sewed and would make us special dresses and stuff
She has/had a ton of energy and rarely watched tv or even sat down.
She was/is extremely positive
Many years later, when I was in college...my dad got sick with brain cancer and slowly degenerated until he passed away. My mom continued to work (because she had to, at that point), hardly slept at night for 2 years because my dad needed a lot of care, and generally kept it all together even though Dad was her High School sweetheart and they'd been married 33 years.
The lady had 6 kids and is a size 4-6.
She STILL works as a 5th grade teacher full time at the age of 58.
She STILL has amazing energy and works out a lot.
I honestly feel like my mom can do anything.

@ anagram - she sounds like a great mom and I bet she's a pretty great grandma too.
My mom always made sure we could participate in the activities we wanted to. Want to make the tennis team? Ok, I'll get up and drive an hour each way on Sat mornings to do tennis lessons. Want to be in the marching band? Ok, I'll take you to school early for practice and come to all of your home games as well as most of the away ones.
Both of my parents were really supportive of our interests and really encouraged us to participate in activities.
