I'm wanting to buy a nursing cover and wondering if you ladies have any recommendations of your favorite? Thanks!

I just used an A&A swaddle blanket. It's nice and light, and I already had them anyway!

A+A swaddle blanket ALL THE WAY. So much bigger and lighter than the regular covers.
I swear, the A+A blanket is the best invention ever. When DD was a baby, I would roll it up really small and stick it under her butt in the Ergo. Slip an extra diaper in the Ergo pocket and we could go... because the A+A blanket can serve as a BFing cover, changing pad, blanket, burp cloth... the list goes on. It's probably the best baby product I own.

DD wouldn't take a cover. I got over it and didn't have a problem NIP.

For those who used an A&A swaddle -- did baby try to pull it off? Did you just tuck into your bra strap or get one of those nursing cover straps? Thanks!

A&A swaddle! Baby didn't try to pull it off, it was light, airy, I just tied two corners around my neck!

@NorCalWayfarer: I usually just stuck one corner under my bra strap, but when she was really small she did not do anything.

We use A&A swaddle blankets! I had a cover with baby #1 but I find the swaddles much easier.

Also A+A swaddle blanket. I have a hooter hider and I swear it screams hey look I'm nursing.

I've seen some scarves that double as nursing covers that I'm interested in. Maybe not so useful this time of year, but LO is due in September so by the time I'm ready to go out with her it should work well. If you're still nursing when it cools off it might be something to consider? Following this thread for ideas!

Hated the AA blanket as a cover!
I like Udder Covers because the Bebe Aulaits are too thick for me.

I have used an A & A, but it seriously screams "Hey, I'm nursing!" I've got a toddler also, so now I move more when I'm nursing, especially if we are at a restaurant, so the blanket doesn't work as well. I had an Udder Cover, but I felt like I was wearing an apron around my neck. I just got a cover made by Covered Goods and I FREAKING love it. I wanted a Dria, but they were too pricey for me, and this cover is the next best thing and I am soooo happy with it.

I have a Bebe Au Lait and really like it, but it does get pretty warm under there in the summer time. Thankfully, DS doesn't mind it.
When I forget my cover, I use the A&A blanket. I just drape it over me and DS. Just need to be careful not to bump it since it'll expose me otherwise.

I typically don't use a cover now because LO pulls at them and it's a PITA. I usually do a tank top under my shirt, so I pull one up and the other down. When LO was younger, I used an A&A blanket (and still do sometimes.) I have a Bebe Au Lait, but it was kind of a pain and I felt that it screamed "I'm nursing!" and it was pretty warm.

I do A&A. My 1st LO didn't try to pull it off, my 2nd LO does. But between wearing a tank top underneath my shirt so just pulling the top shirt up and the tank down I can usually figure out a way to organize the blanket that even if it's not covering her face it's still covering the tiny bit of boob that might be exposed when she pops off.

I use an a&a blanket but I have a pashmama and really like it! Can be worn as a scarf but has a hole for your head so it stays in place.

When I use anything it's an AA swaddle blanket. I don't really use a cover much anymore though!

I used a Dria until I felt comfortable without a cover (when lo was tiny). I appreciated how it had multiple uses.

Thanks for the input ladies! I think I'll just try the A&A swaddles to start out with and if those aren't working I could always order a more traditional nursing cover. I like the idea of just using what I already have

@matador84: I'm in the market for a new cover. Are you still happy with covered goods? I just heard about them today. And any chance you'll sell when done?

I still love mine!!!! It is hands down the best. Not sure when I'll be done nursing but I will hang on to it for you!

I'm not nursing yet and was unhappy with the apron like choices so I got a Vineyessa Lulu mon scarf. It's an infinity scarf that unsnaps into the size of a towel. I saw. A mom using one on a plane recently and asked about. Here in OR I wear a scarf 3 seasons, I will use an A&A in summer.
