I've been on the hunt for shoes for A but I'm really not sure what type to go with. I feel like as cute as some of them are they look uncomfortable or like they would be hard to run and climb in. Any suggestions for everyday summer shoes for toddlers that are less than $20? She only wears a size 4 so that makes it harder too.

I don't know about less than $20. Stride Rite has great shoes but they are over your budget (and I only buy them on sale, seems weird that some of them cost more than my shoes!). Carter's has shoes and they are having a sale right now, but I don't know if they have a lot of options in size 4.
People bought my LO lots of regular sandals and she never wore them last summer. I buy her fisherman's sandals because she needs a more closed toe since she's running around all day.
I also buy her athletic versions of Mary Jane's. I see lots of little kids with Crocs, too.The two stores I would suggest are H&M and Payless. H&M always has cute stuff for kids.

They're $30, but we are loving his Native's right now. We also have crocs, but they fall off easily.

Love natives, but they're pricey. You can find similar ones at Gap and Old Navy for cheaper.

Old Navy will have some. DS wears a 4 also and they aren't the most durable, but they're in your price range.

If she's still a size 4 try the oshKosh brand they sell at target. They have some really cute moccasin type shoes that look very comfy and cute. Best yet they're less than $20! Norah will be a size 6 for summer and they only go up to a size 5 so we are on the hunt right now too.

@autumn865: I'll second these! I just picked up a pair of their closed toed sandals for like $12 in a size 4 and K walks in them well and can't pull them off as easily as she can some others

Do you have a Nordstrom Rack near you? I found great $40 Stride Rite sandals for DD last summer at Nord Rack for $9!!!

Every girl I know has been wearing these jelly mary-janes from Old Navy. The jelly is pretty soft and flexible, and their open design for coolness. They're only like $9-$13. I bought a pair in size 4 for LO to wear this summer.

@shopaholic: I was at Old Navy getting R flip flops this weekend and was bummed they didn't have these in R's size. She is in a 3 now, so maybe a 4 this summer.

@shopaholic: yeah! I got her 6-12 flip flops! They just fit so I am sure she will need 12-18 in a month or so. Her real size 3 shoes fit her great but the flip flops are smaller, weird.
