Any mask recommendations for an almost 3 year old? Looking for something cotton, well fitting with adjustable ear loops.

My niece wore old navy last year (2.5 last dec) and my then 4 yo did too.....adjustable ears.....they fit well

Old Navy fits my girl turning 3 this week also, as well as my older kids. Believe they are cotton. Try in store - they had 5 packs for $1 a couple weeks ago as clearance! But not a lot of color selection.
I think Carters are also cotton and a bit smaller than Old Navy. We liked the fit, worked for 2 up to my then 8 year old.
I think the vistaprint fit a little tighter since they have a nose wire (others mentioned do not) - they are two layer polyester with a filter pocket. I know you prefer cotton just throwing out there because they fit my girl at 1.5 also so they work for a small face.

Another vote for Old Navy - my now 5 yo has worn those almost exclusively. They are too small for my 9 yo though.

Not a fabric but....The best we have found are disposables- I tie the strings tighter and they work great. Fabric got soaked. My 2 year old wears his disposable like a champ. I teach all day, every day in disposable masks and my students prefer them: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08FXLVHTY/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A23ADOZFIJNPFB&psc=1

My 3 year old wears the smallest size from Joah Love. We buy the ones on a loop and he is able to put it on and adjust it himself.

We love the Old Navy ones with the adjustable ties. The same ones fit my 7, 4, and almost 2 year old.

echoing what @pachamama: said about disposables.
These fit my son, ages 4-5, perfectly: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08DLK5DG2/?coliid=I1ZKZ1HP77H4D8&colid=3I01DU01GBM84&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it

We absolutely love the Old Navy ones for my small 4 year old, 7 year old, and 9 year old...unfortunately there are none to be had in my area, so I hope Old Navy brings them back! Ours from last year are a mess, and the governor of NJ just mandated that masks will be worn in school in September.

@meadow: Phew indeed! Thank you! I actually emailed customer service this AM asking about masks, but didn't expect to hear back anytime soon given how short staffed companies are right now, so I'm very glad you got an answer and shared. I'll keep my eyes peeled this week!

@meadow: thanks! I've been stalking and they were not showing up in the app this AM

My kids like these: https://www.amazon.com/ABG-Accessories-Reusable-Protective-Fashion/dp/B08R6BFZMJ/
I wasn't planning to give one to the toddler, but she insisted and picked one for herself too. She's also almost three and it fits fine.

My 3yo has been wearing the Banana Republic ones all day at daycare for a year. They've held up great with the constant laundering and he's never complained about them, so I consider the purchase a huge win...

These ones are my 4 year old’s favorite (plenty of different patterns): https://www.gapfactory.com/browse/product.do?pid=668416021&cid=1158572&pcid=1093513&vid=1&grid=pds_14_29_1#pdp-page-content. She can put these in herself easily.

Anyone have any tips on how to get a toddler to wear a mask? We’re trying to introduce them to our 21 month old and she’ll cover her face with our masks, but whenever we ask if she wants to wear her own she says no or throws it and runs away. We have 3 different kinds and get the same reaction to all of them.
She may be required to wear one to go to daycare at some point this fall/winter so we want to get her used to it. There aren’t any requirements in our state now, but there may be again and we want to be prepared.

@karenbme: the main thing for us was buying ones with his favorite characters.

@karenbme: my 25 month old is the same way. I’m hoping eventually seeing his siblings and other kids wear them will finally click. My middle son was great about wearing them when he turned 2.5, before that he’d fight it. It’s also really depressing to think about the fact that I’ve had to introduce mask wearing to not one, but two toddlers at this point. When this all started I never thought my 9 month old would be wearing a mask and yet here we are.

@LadyDi: totally depressing… my daughter was 4 months when this started. I’m worried that it’s not going to click for her. She sees adults around her wearing them all the time and we’ve started putting them on her stuffed animals but she just won’t. I don’t want to force it and make it traumatic but I’m worried we’re going to have to.
@DesertDreams88: That’s a good idea. Her favorite books seem to change week to week so I’d need to get a bunch, but it might help.

It clicked for my then-2yo when we were at her favorite indoor playground. We stood outside and I said to her very calmly and matter-of-factly, “If you want to play here, the rule is we must wear the mask for safety. If you don’t want to wear it, that’s ok, and we’ll go home to play.” She put it on! Then a few days later we were at Costco (her favorite store lol) and had one or two things in the cart. She was getting fussy with the mask, and I told her the same thing: “If you don’t wear the mask sweetheart then I’m sorry that means we have to go home.” She did refuse to keep it on, but we left and after that she’s never fought the mask.
I think it’s about connecting the mask to safe access to stuff they like, not in a pressure-y way, but just like “this is what it is”. Like a short Target trip to get a snack they want, etc. Start with little things

@karenbme: My oldest, who is almost 3, had a hard time with masks when she was just 2, but I felt like by 2.5 it definitely clicked and is fine now!

@ineebee: That is probably the strategy we would use, too, if she had a favorite indoor playground or had known anything other than pandemic and staying away from public indoor spaces. It might work for a new place, but I also am feeling very cautious and don't want to chance taking her somewhere without a mask on since she won't even let us get near her with one now.
@greencraftycello: That's good to hear. It's so stressful knowing she's going to have to wear one at daycare all day and the best we've been able to do at home is get the ear loops on before it gets ripped off. We've got a couple months, so hopefully she'll make progress by then.
