Is a pnp just as good as spending money on a baby Bjorn? I've been reading reviews. We'd get a lot of use out of it so spending the money isn't a big deal, just wondering if it'd be worth it.

We have the pnp and it has been fine so far. but we didn't want to spend the extra money on the bjorn or another high end one, since we knew we wouldn't travel with it too much.

I love our Baby Bjorn travel crib. It is only 11 lbs and sooo easy to set up and take down! It was definitely a splurge but more convenient than a PNP.

If you will be using it a lot, definitely splurge on the Bjorn. I got one very quickly after realizing there is nothing quick or easy about a PNP. Now if you're just buying a portable crib to set up somewhere semi-permanently, like a grandparent's house, PNP would probably be fine. But if you'll be setting up/taking down frequently, go for the Bjorn.

It'll defintely be a set up/take down. The bb looks like it'd be good through toddler age too ? We gave the bouncer and love it.

We had one of those (now recalled...eeep!) peapod tent thingies with our first baby, and a PNP, but have since gotten rid of both and use the baby bjorn!
We have also just moved, and while waiting to get our shipment with the crib, have had our baby sleeping for the last two months in the bjorn, and we love it!
Our three year old can sleep in it in a pinch, but it is a little tight! Anyhow, I would absolutely suggest a bjorn if you plan to fly with it--it is so easy to put up/down, light and easy to carry. If it is just for use at home once every now and then--save the $!!

@matador84: LO is a tall 17 mos and has plenty of room. In another year, we may be pushing it.

@matador84: Amazon! It looks like the silver model is $189 right now!

@matador84: Exciting!! That's the travel crib we'd like to get too. The PnP seems pretty big for our living room if we did have it set up and we travel quite a bit out of town or stay over friends houses pretty late so I think the BB would be worth it (though its likely going to cost more than our standard crib!).

I think 189 is pretty good! It will hopefully last us a long time/future kids!!!
