I've read a lot of great reviews for Sorel Snow Commanders. But I got a deal on Kamik Icepops and got those instead. She's only ever used them inside the house though, but they seem comfy enough.

Bog boots (I think that's what they are). They're easy to put on and they're waterproof.

@bunnylove08: is she a good Walker yet?
We have a pair of Sorels but I am only going to use them for playing in the snow not for day to day wear.
If you're looking for day to day wear you might be better off getting a good pair of Ugg liked but cheaper. Ie Bearpaw, etc.

Also, have you looked on local used groups? I got a practically brand new pair of bearpaws for $10!

@hilsy85: @locavore_mama: Do you know if Bogs make feet stinky? I'm interested in maybe getting those for DD for the spring/fall.

@SugarplumsMom: I don't have Bogs for LO yet but I know of two fellow moms who really like them. One of which has older kids and has been buying them for her two kids for many years. I'm assuming it might some since the shell is more of a rain boot ? TBH I think any true waterproof boot might do the same?

We have some kamiks that are fur lined and Velcro and open up really well to get his feet in there. He is 18 months and a sturdy walker but he does well in them and loves them!

@locavore_mama: Shes a great walker. I'll take a look at the links you posted. Thanks!
@SugarplumsMom: @winniebee: @hilsy85: Thanks for the suggestions!

A friend recommended the Kids Crocband Gust Boot by Crocs and we love it so far! DD is 21 months and they are super light, weather proof and has a bendy sole for easy walking.

Lands End. Hands down. They are very easy to get toddler feet into them.

@littleveesmommy: I was looking at the crocbands too but I thought if she was in deep snow it would go through the holes.

At 13 months I would do something like Stonz Booties - you can add the fleece layer and have her wear a soft soled shoe inside. I find winter boots to be very heavy and hard to walk in for toddlers.

@bunnylove08: The u-shaped opening where the velcro band comes across is actually not completely opened to the inside of the shoe like a normal shoe tongue. The "tongue" is actually connected on both sides to the boot so water would only get in at the top of the boot. We splash in puddles in the rain and she didn't get wet - win!

We ended up getting kamik kids snow bug boots. We tried the sorrels but they were way too heavy.
