@MaryM: Yes! If I do get snowed in tomorrow I will work from home, but there is only so much I can do so I like to sit on the couch and crochet between phone calls. I also started a counted cross stitch a week ago and I'm trying to work on that.
You meet the second Saturday of the month right? I really want to try and come to the next one if I'm still welcome

@HappyBluebird: Yes! Of course you are! I meant to remind you but it sort of snuck up on me.
What's the cross stitch picture of? I worked on a growth chart for my SIL for YEARS and made a mistake toward the end and am scared about how much I have to rip out, so it's been set aside for a long time.

@MaryM: Yay! I'm going to make a reminder in my phone so I don't forget. I'll let you know when it gets closer!
I'm making this one http://www.joann.com/indian-peacock-counted-cross-stitch-kit-9inx15in-14-count/12473617.html
Funny thing is, I've never done cross stitch and I don't have an attraction to peacocks, but I was wandering the aisles of Michaels (never a good thing!) and it was so pretty I had to buy it. I had a 40% off coupon so I figured even if I ruin it I didn't waste too much. I have no idea where I will put it when/if I finish it!
So far I think I'm doing pretty good. I did mess up on one part but I was lucky that I figured it out quickly and the part was small. I can see that having to rip out a large part would make me put it down for awhile.
After I started this one, I searched on pinterest and I found a few others I really thought were beautiful. I don't need another craft hobby but we'll see where it goes.

@HappyBluebird: That's gorgeous! I bet it will be more fun than some. My attention is kept more easily when something has a lot of colors in it as opposed to having to do a ton all the same.
Bad news, we aren't closing today until 5. boo. But because I commute so far I asked to leave at 430 to get home before dark. YAY!
clementine / 957 posts
@MaryM: how long is your commute? We close at 5 here but I have a really short drive home.
pomelo / 5129 posts
It's 25 miles. Usually it takes about 60-90 minutes to get home. But with snow, it could double. But I'm hoping since it's a holiday it will even out.

1. What is your story?
About a year ago (Feb. 28, 2014), my husband and I found out we were expecting! It was an amazing time, albeit very scary. We went to our first ultrasound and found out that I was about to miscarry... It was tragic. At 7w6d, I miscarried.
2. How do you feel today?
I'm better... It's been almost a year. This month has been hard because I've been like, "Oh, I would have conceived on x day. Oh, my first symptoms starting coming up around now..." It's tough.
3. If you have any "next steps" what are they?
Just to continue to become mentally and emotionally ready to TTC.
4. What coping strategies have worked the best for you?
TALKING to people.

@mavery: I'm so sorry for your loss and sorry to welcome to our group but there's some great ladies here! We're here whenever you need to talk! Are you TTC now or are you waiting?
pea / 5 posts
@HappyBluebird: We're waiting, but we are preparing! Haha, if that makes sense? We are wanting to wait until December of this year, but it's a flexible date.
pomelo / 5129 posts
@mavery: I'm sorry you're joining us, but hopefully you can find some comfort in others who "get it"
I just passed the one year mark at the end of January, and totally get what you mean about all the anniversaries of "this is when we found out, this is when we told people" etc.
The lead up ended up being more stressful than the actual anniversary, so I hope the same can be true for you.
clementine / 957 posts
@mavery: It makes perfect sense! Also, your avatar makes me want warm weather so badly! It's going to start snowing here soon, I wish I was under some palm trees instead!
pea / 5 posts
@MaryM: Yeah... It was the same with the due date. The whole lead up, "this is going to be such a terrible day" feeling. The day was bad, but not nearly as horrible as I thought it would be. I hate that other people understand, but it's comforting nonetheless.
pea / 5 posts
@HappyBluebird: Haha, me too! It's not too bad here (raining, but cold rain! Too warm to snow, though.) I swear the Caribbean is my happy place.
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@MaryM: That's so frustrating! It's so hard to imagine you with snowy weather, when it's so so hot here.
@HappyBluebird: We did absolutely nothing ON PURPOSE. It was delightful! So glad to hear you're negative and all is good!
@mavery: I'm so sorry for your loss. x
Here's a view of paradise for you:

@jaguar: glad you got so much relaxation and had a joyful time!! I hope those feelings can stick with you for a long time
@happybluebird: yay for your bloodwork!! Have you been tracking your cycle? Maybe I will see you on the POAS boards but I hope all of us won't have to be there much longer.
@marym: Thats so frustrating about your appointment having to get rescheduled. You seem to be rolling with it pretty well though! I remember you wanted it close to CD3 but now it sounds like it might be closer to O... I bet bloodwork will still be helpful then
@mavery: Welcome! Glad you found us.
I am on CD 11 with no O in sight (no CM, low readings on clearblue monitor) but I am trying to be hopeful that this cycle will be the one where I can back into a normal pattern. There's no big stress, miscarriage, or flu to blame for delayed O this time. So, FX for at least a "normal" 30 day cycle.
clementine / 957 posts
@jaguar: so beautiful! Love that you did nothing on purpose!
@DesertDreams88: yeah I've been tracking the last two months to prevent so I know I'm 5dpo today. I may rejoin the March POAS boards... Not sure I want to join the regular boards since it can be hard seeing people get pregnant so easy, but I don't know if belong on the 6+ month board either as it took us only 5 months last time. We shall see! I have my fingers crossed for a normal cycle for you!
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@DesertDreams88: I hope you get your nice & normal! x
@HappyBluebird: So exciting. Hopefully it's short and smooth for you again this time.
Back to waiting around here.

@mavery: sorry for your loss, I'm also in the mode of thinking about how I'm going to feel as anniversaries approach. I'm not sure when we will TTC again and what implications that will have as those anniversaries approach.
@jaguar: ohhh that looks lovey, so glad you had a relaxing stress free time!! blissssss

@jaguar: Do you have next steps planned? Or still just waiting?
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
OMG I just need to vent. We are supposed to start our monitored clomid cycle next cycle. We have waited 2 cycles to start TTC again after the last loss. So I was talking to the nurse a little while ago and she said that the doctor has in her notes that I need to come in and have a hysterscopy before we can do the clomid cycle but we are going to be away for what looks like it will be days 4-7 of the next cycle so now she said we need to wait another cycle because they won't do the clomid without the hysterscopy and they wont' do that before day 4. If they had told me this earlier, I could have done it this cycle, while I was sitting here waiting.... ARG! I am so frustrated with them. She was so not understanding of how I didn't want to wait yet another cycle. She was like, yeah, well, that's our policy....

@travellingbee: Grr, I hate when Drs office (or companies in general) drop the ball and then basically tell you that's just how it is. It makes me rage-y when I have to talk to people like that. Sorry they are making you wait even longer
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@travellingbee: Waiting is the worst.
@FannyMae: It really was bliss- loved it!
@HappyBluebird: Ultrasound on Monday to see if the cyst has gone. PLEASE LET IT HAVE GONE.
persimmon / 1461 posts
@travellingbee: arrrgh!! I hate the nonchalance of "meh thats our policy". any chance of changing the dates that you will be away seeing as though the doc won't budge?
@jaguar: good luck with the US, hope that cyst is gone, gone GONE!
Looks like I'm about to start my second AF since D&C, both having been on a 31 day cycle. I feel like i've been bleeding forever, my last period lasted for maybe 12 days from start to finish Doctor at 8am tomorrow eeek!
clementine / 957 posts
@FannyMae: good luck at the doctor! AF for me was longer than usual for the 2 or 3 cycles after then it went back to normal. Hopefully that's the case for you too!
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@FannyMae: nope we are booked at an All- Inclusive in Mexico and meeting friends there. So definitely not. But the nurse called back and said, the doctor said that although she highly recommends it, If I refuse the hysteroscopy then there is nothing they can do about that. So I will still move forward with my clomid cycle!!
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@FannyMae: yes my last AF was long too. Bled or spotted for 11 days.
pomelo / 5129 posts
@travellingbee: OMG. That's really sucky. I'm so sorry they couldn't empathize about why you wouldn't want to wait! Great news that they'll let you go ahead anyway!
@jaguar: for Monday!
@FannyMae: It took me about 3-4 cycles to reregulate as well. I hope the end is in sight for you!
I feel like a bad wife (sort of) and that I've underestimated DH. We went out last night and he brought up having a baby and said he's talked to his doctor about having things checked out. I hadn't even asked him to and had assumed he had no idea how serious things were getting as we hit the one year mark! But I was so happy he brought it up and it opened the door for me to be able to explain how I'll be talking to my doctor soon as well (whenever I can reschedule that appointment that was supposed to be yesterday. Grr!)
clementine / 957 posts
@travellingbee: That's good news! Glad they are letting you go forward as planned!
clementine / 957 posts
@MaryM: That's great that he brought it up and you were able to talk it out! I don't think you are a bad wife though! I think its normal to assume men might not think things are as serious as we think they are. (That was a lot of thinks ) I really hope you can reschedule your appointment soon!
pomelo / 5129 posts
@HappyBluebird: Thanks.
I'm happy we were able to talk about it, but other suspicions were confirmed. Like, he'll be waiting until after the stress of moving is done before he goes to the doctor.
But really, I'm not so worried about him getting checked out. Because I have PCOS and have had low-P I'm pretty sure it's me and not him.
clementine / 957 posts
@MaryM: Well it's good that he has a plan. I think you might have said, but when are you planning on moving?
pomelo / 5129 posts
@HappyBluebird: We're hoping to list mid-march/april. So best case scenario would probably be April/May?
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@MaryM: Good work hubby. Sometimes it's hard for them to take those steps.
Thanks for the good luck, lovelies. Monday feels like a million years away. I'm SO nervous, and can't wait to get off the birth control pill!
pomelo / 5129 posts
@jaguar: Having heard from others on here about what it took for their DHs to get on board...and given how hard I've had to push him to get a stupid sleep test...I was pretty floored that he'd brought it up on his own!
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@MaryM: Absolutely! Just talking about it, let alone getting things checked out, is a HUGE step. Brave dude. I'm all proud over here. My hubby was a great sport too, when we had to take the plunge... I know it's hard on us, but it's gotta be so awkward for them too. Sometimes I forget that when I get wrapped up in my little MEMEME bubble!
clementine / 957 posts
@MaryM: Hopefully your house sells fast, do houses stay on the market very long where you're listing?
pomelo / 5129 posts
@HappyBluebird: The only ones that last more than a month are overpriced. We're hoping things will go the same for us. We don't want to sell TOO fast (because we also have to find a house to buy!) but also don't want to find a new house and get stuck waiting for ours to sell.
Thankfully, DH and I weren't expecting it to be worth as much as the realtor says it is, so I don't think we'll get hung up on trying to reach some super high price.
After DH brought up testing last night, it made me even happier that I posted something nice about him on FB yesterday. We're totally not the type of couple to share our relationship online, but I did post a "Aren't I so lucky?" post about him waking up early to shovel out our court with my neighbor while all I had to do was make coffee.
I really do think I'm lucky! Remind me of that the next time I complain about him not "getting" it
persimmon / 1461 posts
Just got back from the doctor's office, seems like there was no underlying genetic cause to the miscarriage so thats a relief. AF is here today, doctor says it will regulate in the next few cycles and given the all clear if we want to TTC in the near future. so thats a relief.
@travellingbee: good to hear you can move ahead without the hurdle in your way! and not to mention going on your trip without the stress of waiting the extra cycle!
@MaryM: love when you get the talking going and things flow out, what a thoughtful hubby. you're definitely not a bad wife! I'm not a huge fb soppy poster, but sometimes you just gotta hehe I bet that was a super good love coffee
