Hey ladies, sorry I've been away for a few days.

@jaguar: I feel like "I'm sorry" just doesn't cut it anymore I'm so very sad for you, I so wish things would turn around

@Crystal: Good luck with the clomid!

@MaryM: I'm sorry about the 1 year mark, but I'm glad you had something to distract you. Good luck on selling your house and getting it ready!

Crocheting is the same thing as packing, right? I spent a few hours working on a new blanket this weekend with the mindset that if I finish something else, that's less yarn I have to pack. (nevermind I'll have another blanket to pack!)

  3. HappyBluebird

@MaryM: I think that's wonderful logic.... But my view is probably a little skewed!

@MaryM: Huge hugs to you over the anniversary. Thanks for the kind thoughts. x

@Crystal: I know, right? Just one thing after the other.

@HappyBluebird: I wish the same. I'm so sick of seeing everybody else move on, while you'e stuck in the same shitty place. I hope you're doing ok. x

@jaguar: Thanks lady I have my moments where I'm bitter and mad but I try and stay as positive as I can in the situation. I so hope that you will be moving on in the very near future

AFM, I have my 3rd blood draw on the 11th and if it's negative we can finally start TTC again. Hopefully we can start to put this molar pregnancy business behind us. I'll never forget and I'll always be anxious it will happen again, but I feel like if I can focus my energy on the next step, maybe I won't be as sad.

@HappyBluebird: Can you believe it's February? It feels like we were just counting down all this crap not long ago. At least we're getting through to the other side. xxx

Another day, another (what seems like a million) BFP's. When does this ever stop sucking?

@MaryM: So sorry to hear about your anniversary, and thankful that your WTF appt is getting closer and closer! Saw also that you're moving - new house, new town, new state? We moved about a year ago and I don't want to move again.... like, ever, haha.

@HappyBluebird: Yay for February! Have you been charting or anything to see where you'll be at in your cycle?

@Jaguar: only a week or so until Fiji, right?? If I were you I could probably be counting down the hours... that is how I am anyways

So I'm almost definitely coming to the end of yet another 40+ day cycle.... 3 out of 4 of my TTC cycles have been in the 40+ day range, and it is getting me down.

Looking for a bit of advice. During my loss, I had a detailed ultrasound done at the ER, and the tech noted "several small follicular cysts." I didn't think any of it at the time because I was so focused on the loss, and I googled it and it seemed to be no biggie... back then. Well, a 46 day and 44 day cycle later, I'm wondering if something is out of whack. My ob/gyn said to call him for tests/meds if my cycle is not back on track by early/mid March, but he doesn't know about the cysts because I forgot to tell him, and he's new to me. So.... is this something that warrants worry? Should I call, you think? At least to help them get my hospital records with the US notes?

    clementine / 957 posts

@jaguar: I can't believe it's February, it feels like its gone fast but then slow at the same time if that makes sense

@DesertDreams88: I started charting again last month because I took myself off the birth control my dr wanted me on. BC and my body just do not get along so I charted to avoid.

I'm sorry your cycles are long. When I started TTC last February, my cycles started the normal 28 days and slowly got longer and longer. I think my longest was 37 days maybe. So I understand the frustration. I don't have any advice about the cysts but hopefully someone else on here does. I would probably mention it to the Dr just because it would bug me enough if I didn't.

@DesertDreams88: definitely mention it to your new doc just for the peace of mind. I was discussing cycles with my girlfriend, she currently has a 45 day cycle and is concerned about it also.

I just got a telephone call from my OB office.... he broke his leg!! all appointments are now passed on to a new doctor that is covering for him that I have never met before. I think im ok with it for now, the results will be the same whichever doctor tells me, but I'd like to stay with my own doctor for any future appointments. I'd hate to be a patient about to give birth and find out he won't be there

Okay... managed to hold it together buying a baby shower card and wrapping the present for SIL/brother's bub.

The party starts in a few hours and I'm already starting to panic. Public meltdowns aren't my thing.

  11. MaryM

    pomelo / 5129 posts

@jaguar: Do you have an escape plan? A buddy who knows how you feel who can go outside/to another room with you? A reason why you might not be able to stay very long?

That's the only way I (barely) made it through the shower I went to a month after my MC

  12. FannyMae

    persimmon / 1461 posts

@jaguar: hope your day goes smoothly, take lots of fresh air breaks to escape

  13. jaguar

@MaryM: It's a family shower, so males too - so hubby is going, and I have Georgia here to throw a tantrum at the right time, if need be. She has a knack for that!

  14. DesertDreams88

Thanks for the input, @happybluebird & @fannymae. Ugh, AF lasted just a day and a half this time; a medium day and a light day. That's after 44 days of it having time to build up. So I'm definitely going to call my obgyn tomorrow because of the cysts + late ovulation + irregular periods + light periods. FX that he'll be willing to do bloodwork instead of waiting another month/cycle!

@MaryM: I remember you saying something about taking progesterone? At one point was your obgyn willing to test you for that, was it after the cycle where you spotted almost the entire time? Do you still take P during each cycle?

I believe this week is the week for @happybluebird's *last* HCG test, @jaguar's trip, and @marym's WTF appointment.... good vibes too all!!

@jaguar: I don't know if this will ever stop sucking. I think I will forever carry my scars, long after I have a child.

@DesertDreams88: can you call for an earlier appt in mid feb instead of waiting til March? I'm so sorry your body is acting up, FX something can be done.

@FannyMae: oh no! Did they say how long your OBGYN would be out?

@jaguar: how did the shower go? I have one in a few weeks I'm already dreading.

@MaryM: I vote you crochet mini batmans. As a means for packing, of course.

My OBGYN scheduled me for a hysteroscopy on feb 20th! Yay!

  16. FannyMae

    persimmon / 1461 posts

@Crystal: I think she said 3-4 weeks, so If we do start trying in the near future I'm sure he will be back to seeing patients. I have a friend who is about to give birth in a few weeks and he is her OB as well, so fingers crossed he recovers in time or she will be devastated! All the best with your hysteroscopy!

  17. jaguar

    pomegranate / 3764 posts

@Crystal: We made it through. Thank goodness it wasn't as bad as I had made it out in my head. A few fuzzy eye moments during the speeches and things, but otherwise... all good. Good luck with the hysteroscopy!

@DesertDreams88: Sounds like it's definitely worth a call, just to be sure.

@FannyMae: Hopefully OB will be back running as normal soon!

Well.... we leave Wednesday for Fiji. I'm REALLY looking forward to it now.

@DesertDreams88: Ugh, how annoying and upsetting! I hope you get some answers as soon as you can! You have a great memory! I wish my bloodwork was just a few days earlier. It's scheduled for CD 14 so I probably won't get my results back until after I've already O'd. But I've waited this long so 1 more month won't kill me

@FannyMae: Wow, I can't imagine being almost to the end of pregnancy and then have something happen to the Dr you really love! Hopefully he's better in time for your friend!

@jaguar: I'm so sorry about the shower, I'm glad it wasn't as bad as you thought! I so hope you have the most amazing vacation!

  19. MaryM

    pomelo / 5129 posts

@DesertDreams88: It was after several cycles of spotting for several days before getting AF

my third cycle after MC I spotted almost the entire time, but they asked me to wait and see because my hormones could still be out of whack. I didn't try P until after 6 months and then several of them being wonky.

@jaguar: I think the build up is always worse than the events we dread. Glad it went ok! And YAY for vacation!!!

@HappyBluebird: I'm getting so excited for your last draw!

AFM, my WTF is actually next week (not this one), but I'm starting to look forward to it more. AF hit today so I'm officially officially at unexplained IF (it's been a year since my first cycle post MC and we didn't take time off).

My niece was diagnosed with celiac disease last week. My SIL and brother are being tested for the genetic link, but suggested the aunts and uncles consider having the antibody test too. So I plan to bring that up as well. I've had a decent share of symptoms, so who knows. I would love to find something definitive to diagnose, but at the same time, man that would be a hard change to make!

@MaryM: Thanks me too! I'm more nervous for this one, even though I shouldn't be. I'm also really nervous about TTC again. I'll have to find some relaxation techniques to try when crocheting isn't cutting it

It's been quiet in here lately! I hope that all you ladies are doing as well as can be! If you celebrate Valentine's Day, I hope you all have a wonderful, love filled day and if not I hope you have a great weekend!!

AFM, I had my blood drawn on Wednesday so I'm just waiting to get my results back. It probably won't be until Monday so I have a few more days of waiting. Fingers crossed this is the last one!

I had to call DH to figure out what on earth we were doing tonight.

He said earlier in the week he had tonight off, so I assumed he worked during the day. but he was still home when I left for work so I was so confused!

I think he's making steaks for dinner and we're staying in. Realizing how much we need to do to our house has made his purse strings a lot tighter! But tomorrow we're going to a habitat store to see if we can get any deals on second hand stuff before he goes to work. How romantic is that?

  26. HappyBluebird

    clementine / 957 posts

@MaryM: We're staying in for Valentine's Day too. We are looking for tile so we can finally finish our basement after it flooded (in May!!!) and the prices for the amount of square feet we need make our purse stings tighter too! Plus DH just started a new job so he's been tired and I'm sure he'll appreciate a night in

  27. MaryM

    pomelo / 5129 posts

@HappyBluebird: I was surprised DH was ok with a night in. He's always wanting to get out! But after paying for our patio to be removed this week I think he's starting to feel it!

    Hi loves, we're back!

Are you guys doing ok? It's so quiet!!!

We had an amazing time. So refreshed. I needed that.

@jaguar: Glad you had a great trip!

I'm feeling a little "arg"y today. I was looking forward to my WTF appointment tomorrow...but of COURSE that would be the day we finally get snow. I'm trying to reschedule it now and it looks like it'll be put off at least a week if not longer.

  30. HappyBluebird

    clementine / 957 posts

@jaguar: So happy you had a great time! Did you do anything special there or just relaxed? My vacations always seem boring to people who like lots of activities but I just love to have nothing to do unless I want to!

@MaryM: Ugh! I HATE snow! All it seems to do is cause problems! Hope its not longer than a week!

  31. MaryM

    pomelo / 5129 posts

@HappyBluebird: Well, I was able to reschedule for next Thursday (more than a week) but when I went to put it in my planner, realized I hadn't moved a meeting I scheduled last week to the calendar I was working from. So I have a feeling it's going to have to be even later.

  32. HappyBluebird

    clementine / 957 posts

@MaryM: Can you move the other meeting instead of rescheduling your appointment?

  33. MaryM

    pomelo / 5129 posts

@HappyBluebird: I don't think I can. It's with my boss' boss and for my thesis, so I'd hate to ask him to move it since he's sort of going out of his way already

  34. HappyBluebird

    clementine / 957 posts

@MaryM: Yeah I wouldn't want to reschedule that either. Stupid snow....sorry lady, hopefully it won't have too long after Thursday

  35. HappyBluebird

    clementine / 957 posts

Well I just got my blood work results from last Wednesday and I'm still negative! I'm having mixed emotions....I'm happy that we've gotten past the 3 month wait, but so incredibly nervous about another molar happening.

How I wish TTC was fun for everyone on this board and we didn't have to worry or try so hard. to all of you!

  36. MaryM

    pomelo / 5129 posts

@HappyBluebird: Aren't the chances of another partial molar pretty low though (didn't you have to wait because the chance would be lower if waited)? I hope that's the case! Though I know it's still super scary. (I still fear another miscarriage even though I know that having one doesn't cause another...)

I'm hopeful that maybe at least I'll get to stay home tomorrow. My office is SO COLD today! I would love a lazy day at home alone

  37. HappyBluebird

    clementine / 957 posts

@MaryM: After having 1 molar, the chances are 1 in 100. If you've never had a molar pregnancy the chances are 1 in 1,000.

The 3 or 6 month wait is to monitor your hcg levels to be sure that the mole hasn't returned and become invasive or spread to other places in the body. They don't want you to get pregnant in those months because then your HCG would rise and they wouldn't be able to tell if the levels were pregnancy or disease related.

On the positive side, I have the less "serious" of the two and I dropped to negative on my own without needing chemotherapy. So in those cases I think the odds are little better. I have moments where I panic that this could be a genetic problem, but I try to remind myself that isn't usually the case and most women with molar pregnancies go on to have healthy babies.

How many inches of snow are they calling for there? I'm hoping that if we have to get, its enough to work from home.

  38. MaryM

    pomelo / 5129 posts

@HappyBluebird: Ah, ok. Well, your chances of a healthy baby are still at 99%, so I hope that's the case!

4-8 inches with higher totals to the south (so you might be closer to 4 while I'm closer to 8)

Capital Weather Gang is usually really good with their predictions.

  39. HappyBluebird

    clementine / 957 posts

@MaryM: Thanks, that's an amazing positive way to look at it! I will keep that in my head instead of the 1% chance it happens again. I don't know what I would do without you ladies

We are in the 3-8" zone. We've had quite a few busts this year so I'm never sure but this one seems to be coming whether I like it or not.

Working on any crochet if you get snowed in tomorrow?

  40. MaryM

    pomelo / 5129 posts

    @HappyBluebird: Of course!

I had my meetup group yesterday and we were talking about how nice it can be to have a snow day because then you feel less guilty spending all day on the couch. I'm still working on the granny stripe blanket I began a while back. I didn't touch it for a few weeks because of packing.
