@Jess1483: I just posted, but somehow HB ate it. Lol Anyway, I'm sorry today sucked! I'm finding that when people talk about their pregnancies I get really cold and shutdown now. I can't help it - I guess it's like self preservation. Don't be so hard on yourself. I'm sorry you went through that though - I'm praying your time is soon. Hopefully you're right and your AF is on the way! Hugs!!!

What's going on?! HB is eating my posts, but the main page said it posted. I have no idea what's going on lol

ETA: aaaand we're back lol sorry about that

@ValentineMommy: I was wondering what was going on, too, because I got an e-mail you'd responded, but then it wasn't there. Crazy times on HB.

@Jess1483: looks like it was a hiccup and seems to be back. I was scared it was going to go down like the other morning. I freaked out when I had to actually work for a few hours while HB wasn't running lol

@ValentineMommy: Hahahaha. I "worked" yesterday and got so very little done. Sometimes HB is a problem. I'm home today and little one is napping. But then we're running errands and getting ready for Daddy's birthday tonight. Yikes!

@ValentineMommy: @Jess1483: Add me to the "shutdown" club!

I've gotten over the tears (usually...unless I'm overly hormonal or someone will.not.stop)...but I still find myself getting rather quiet when people mention most anything related to children

I'm glad you had someone there will you who understood though!

    pomelo / 5791 posts

@Jess1483: HB is always a problem, as far as sucking up my time Oh well!! Yay for bithdays!!! Doing anything special?

@MaryM: That's kindof where I am. I'm usually pretty quiet and inside I'm silently dying.

@MaryM: Yes. In fact she had a miscarriage before she had her daughter, so she's been a great source of support.
Usually I do okay, and I really am happy for this other friend, but everyone was going on about how great it is (which is true) and how it was the best news they'd heard all day (want some bad news to balance it out??) I don't want my friend to know about the miscarriage, because I don't want her to feel like she can't be excited. But now she just has no idea what's wrong. Oh well...

@ValentineMommy: It's his 30th, so we're actually celebrating by going away next weekend. So the only plan for today is chocolate pudding and probably a small craft done by the kiddo. I go all out, you know?

    @Jess1483: i LOVE pudding

  11. Jess1483

@MaryM: I've never made it. My mom usually does and DH requested it, so I guess I'll give it a shot!

@Jess1483: Are you making the cook kind or just the jello stir and chill?

You're making me crave a trifle. I got a trifle dish at my wedding shower and have only used it as a punch bowl. but man some berries and pudding would be delicious!

  14. Jess1483

    nectarine / 2641 posts

@MaryM: Cook kind. It doesn't look too tricky, but sometimes the "easiest" things throw me off!

  15. MaryM

    pomelo / 5129 posts

I'm always scared of the cook kind because my great-aunt's always had the thickest "skin" over it. I'm too wary of textures.

  16. Jess1483

    nectarine / 2641 posts

@MaryM: I'm about to start it. Here's hoping it's not awful

  17. MaryM

    pomelo / 5129 posts

Even if it does get a skin, it's probably fine under it. I was just scarred as a kid! Lol

I'm waiting to get my hair cut. I texted dh to see if he'd mind if I went blond (just kidding though!). He hasn't responded so I wonder if I worried him! Lol

@FliegepilzHut: That is so frustrating - but at least you have some information to go in with. xxx Big massive hugs.

@Jess1483: Hugs. Some days are so, so hard.

@ValentineMommy: Happy TWW wishes to you. x

@MaryM: Oh, I could DEVOUR a good trifle right now. Yum!

My FS rang me this morning after she received the genetic testing back. She is sending hubby & I for blood testing to make sure we aren't carriers for the T21 translocation stuff. She doesn't think so, but said for peace of mind, it might not hurt.

Still no sign of ANYTHING here. I just want a freaking period... or to ovulate.

    pomegranate / 3533 posts

@jaguar: I am hoping that this means that we've got a good shot at a healthy baby in the near future...and not that I'm somehow broken... That sounds like a good idea. Did you say you would probably induce a period eventually?

    pomelo / 5791 posts

@Jess1483: How fun!!! My DH's 30th birthday is Sunday (while we are on vacation)!! I hope he enjoys the pudding, I'm sure it will be great!

@MaryM: haha - how did the haircut turn out?? My DH is always ready for me to come home with a new hair color. I change it frequently lol

@jaguar: Thank you! I'm super nervous! Fingers crossed your time is coming soon.

@simplyfelicity: I was just thinking about how far along I would be as well. I'd be 22 weeks already

So, I went to my acupuncturist last night and he told me he thinks I should wait to TTC until DECEMBER. He said in chinese medicine they recommend waiting 6 months for every m/c. I was just like....."too late". lol!! I briefly started to panic and worry about what if he was right. My OB said it was fine to start trying again, so I shouldn't freak out, right?? I'm praying every night that this month is our month. I'm a few DPO and having weird cramps near my belly button, but I'm highly known for being a symptom spotter lol Can you tell I can't stop freaking out?

  24. Jess1483

    nectarine / 2641 posts

@simplyfelicity: 12 weeks tomorrow. So unfair.

@allinterestedparties: the pudding turned out well

@ValentineMommy: I've just started to ignore advice I don't like. I think 6 months is excessive. Plus also, too late for you, I hope, I hope. I would be so, so thrilled to see you get a

@jaguar: so sorry. I thought AF was on her way two days ago, but no dice.

    pomelo / 5129 posts

@Jess1483: Glad your pudding turned out well!

@ValentineMommy: The cut turned out "ok" (it could have been shorter in the back). But OMG. I highly recommend it for those feeling a bit down. The guy SERIOUSLY went to town during the shampoo and it was like the BEST scalp massage ever (so good that my head is a little sore where it rested on the sink. lol). It was all I could do to keep myself from drooling. So worth the price of the haircut JUST to have my head rubbed!

@jaguar: ((HUGS)) I hope your cycles start up soon!

    pomelo / 5791 posts

@Jess1483: Thank you!!! I can use all the hope I can get!! I totally agree that 6 months is excessive

@MaryM: hahaha! I totally agree! I got my hair done about a month ago and it was amazing. It made me feel a lot better to get a little pampered!

  27. MaryM

Oh, and DH was seriously surprised when I came home and was still brunette.

I haven't dyed my hair at all since college. I'm not sure why he thought I was serious!

I'm starting to get an awful more salt in my peppery hair...but I'm too lazy to keep up with dying so I've let it go.

Plus I tend to pass for younger, so I figure the white hairs even me out!

  30. ValentineMommy

    pomelo / 5791 posts

@MaryM: Oh, I'm way lazy when it comes to dying it as well!! I think I go about every 4-6 months, instead of 8 weeks like my stylist would like haha. It's way too expensive for that often!!

I've been here reading all the updates. I haven't commented much though because these days I'm just at a loss for words other than I'm really really sad for us all. I'll be better about contributing more soon. It's just been a rough few days.

@2PeasinaPod: Hope you're done and doing well!

@Tidybee: I had a good visit with some girlfriends today...feeling kind of like I'm bringing the party down at times, although they totally get it. It's so hard to talk about...but so necessary sometimes...and then I also feel like I shouldn't be "dwelling." Hope you're in a better place soon!

Ok...update (cross-posted from the weekly IF Check In):

I had a nice conversation with my RE over the phone. She wouldn't speculate about what might have caused the loss ("the process (of embryogenesis) is extremely complex"), but feels that our chances continue to be good. I still have some RPL labs to be drawn (tomorrow?)...but otherwise can continue to plan for a FET in late November.

@FliegepilzHut: That's great news!! I'm glad to hear that you're on track for November, even if you didn't really get "answers."

@jaguar: The AF that I thought was coming is a no show. Looking forward to feeling "normal" by being on my next cycle.
@ValentineMommy: That's why I was getting frustrated with my doctor's answers, they just seem textbook. Thank you, by the way, for your help. I am pretty sure I am going to NTNP after my first AF and then casually ttc (is that even a thing?) Hoping you get your !
    @2PeasinaPod: Good luck!
@Tidybee: I know, me too. Just remember, you are in no way alone.
@FliegepilzHut: I am glad to hear that things are moving in a positive direction. That sounds so trite but I really mean it.

As for me, for the first time in four weeks + I actually felt joy today. I have been dealing with depression since the loss and had no hope I could feel joy again. Tomorrow might be a struggle but I will take a good day. It's nice.

  39. Jess1483

    nectarine / 2641 posts

@simplyfelicity: I'm so glad you felt joy. I'm so sorry it was robbed from you. Here's hoping you will feel joy a bit more often every day.

I just keep thinking "when these women have a baby, it will surely be the most loved baby imaginable." And I do think "when."

@Jess1483: Thanks! Answers would be nice...but just getting to the finish line would be even better. I think things are probably not as dire as they seem...it's just that my entire experience has been so relatively difficult to this point. I'm hoping things will start looking up (for all of us) very soon!

@simplyfelicity: I'm so glad! And thank you! I hope your cycles are back on track soon.
