@HappyBluebird: Hoping you get answers soon. Your poor DH...

@FliegepilzHut: thanks, for this response and the one in the other thread, it's very hard to see him so upset. I've told him some of the information I've found but haven't told him everything in hopes that the Dr can explain more clearly when we go in next Wednesday

@HappyBluebird: That's probably a good call. Just take it a day at a time.

@HappyBluebird: very confusing! I hope the doctor can help clear things up.

You know what sucks? Filling out your annual paperwork and in the section on pregnancies having to skip all the boxes for things like size, weight, hours of labor...and skipping to complications

  5. FliegepilzHut

    pomegranate / 3533 posts

    @MaryM: That does suck.

@MaryM: Got your lovely card in the mail today. Thank you!

@FliegepilzHut: I think I'd love a separate group when the time came. But... I just feel like I can't even go there yet, can't even get my hopes up. Urgh.

@ValentineMommy: Oh that quote is so so true. I feel like people don't speak of our loss anymore.. it's so sad, and I just don't get why. I mean, it was a baby, a little baby. Why pretend they didn't exist?

@Jess1483: @SimplyFelicity: @ValentineMummy: I never join POAS threads, usually. But this month with the FET we might actually have a shot at a genuine TWW. So I guess we'll stick it out and see what happens.

@HappyBluebird: Sometimes talking about it really helps. That's why I value you guys so, so much. x I don't know much about molar pregnancies at all, so I hope you get some more info.

  7. FliegepilzHut

    pomegranate / 3533 posts

@jaguar: I'm definitely hopeful for you! I hope this next FET is all it takes!

  8. ValentineMommy

@HappyBluebird: I have no idea if it's possible after seeing a heartbeat, but could your body have reabsorbed the fetal tissue? I know it's possible in earlier losses, but I doubt it's possible after seeing one? I'm not sure, but I'm so so sorry that you're dealing with this on top of everything else. Hugs!!!

@jaguar: Right??? People were sensitive for a hot minute, then forgot all about it. So frustrating. Anyway, I pray pray pray that this is your month (and mine!)!!! FX so hard!

I don't know about you ladies or your religion, but I've been praying painfully hard this month.

    pomelo / 5129 posts

@jaguar: I'll stick with you outside the POAS threads for a while

So I had my WTF appointment...or rather my annual with a rushed discussion of next steps (I love this dr. for being proactive, but hate her for how she rushes through things!)

She did go ahead and run 6dpo bloodwork, so that will hopefully rule out (or in) low P. I handed over about 8 months worth of charts and she was super happy I brought them. She thought they looked great (I *do* regularly get AF, which is an improvement with PCOS). She said at the 1 year mark or in 6 months if I'm still not KU we'll follow up again to see where we should go from there.

It's somewhat comforting that she's not overly worried yet, but at the same time, I just want ALL the answers, you know?

I left feeling a bit down, and may have nearly broken into tears when I went to the Starbucks drive thru and the person in front of me paid for my drink. hah!

So I guess we're back to more waiting and finger crossing...

    pomegranate / 3533 posts

@MaryM: I'm glad you're getting a progesterone level! It is always frustrating when things feel so rushed...but overall it sounds like you had a very positive visit. FX that you don't need that follow-up in 6 months! And hooray for a nice stranger and free coffee!

  11. MaryM

    pomelo / 5129 posts

@FliegepilzHut: I almost didn't get it (the doctor can be a little all over the place in her speed and she forgot that I WAS 6dpo and didn't need to come back). Thankfully the phlebotomist asked what I was expecting (I also had liver levels checked since I'm on metformin) and I was able to chime in.

When I went to pay there was no one behind me and the starbucks worker said "there's no one behind you for you to pay for, so you're adding to some good energy in the world!" when I offered to pay. It was a nice thing to hear.

(but someone did pull up before I got my drink so I was able to keep it going)

@MaryM: A "pay it forward" chain is nice but I love a good, random act of kindness!

    pomelo / 5791 posts

@MaryM: Ugh- I know what you mean. I hope you get all the answers you're looking for Did you have symptoms of low p? I've been wondering about this for myself, and if I should ask my doctor about having some bloodwork.

  14. MaryM

    pomelo / 5129 posts

@ValentineMommy: yes. I've had some spotting as early as 6 or 8 dpo. I also thought my temps weren't very high (I got dotted cross hairs this month because it wasn't high enough).

I also have a history of it. I was on progesterone during my pregnancy (perhaps too late?) and needed it two years ago because I had super long cycles.

@MaryM: I'm sorry your appointment was pretty inconclusive. But yay for random acts of kindness!

@MaryM: @ValentineMommy: How do you know if you have low P?
@jaguar: At the very least, it's nice so many of us are on there to support each other no matter what happens.
    Also...
why why why why did I click on the March "blumps and bumps?!?!?!"
    Ugh....I'm fine but....ugh...

  17. MaryM

    pomelo / 5129 posts

And, I got a card from "one of us" last night while filling out the horrid paperwork, so that was also a positive!

  18. FliegepilzHut

    pomegranate / 3533 posts

@simplyfelicity: Short luteal phase is the tip-off to low P, I think.
    Also, I'm sorry you looked.

  19. MaryM

    pomelo / 5129 posts

@simplyfelicity: You're gold. Hide that thread!!

The easiest way to tell is if you have symptoms (low temps in the LP, long and/or anovulatory cycles) or other hormone issues. I think it's somewhat common with PCOS?

If you're charting temps and things seem "off," that's a good indication.

  20. ValentineMommy

    pomelo / 5791 posts

@simplyfelicity: I have no idea! Mine was, I think, low-ish with my B.O., but was never checked before (or with my previous pregnancy). So....I don't know if I should have it checked again or what!

  21. simplyfelicity

    cantaloupe / 6634 posts

@MaryM: @FliegepilzHut: I have it hidden but it was on the home page before I logged in. Totally my fault...what was I expecting? That it would make me feel better? Oh, well...

@FliegepilzHut: @ValentineMommy: @MaryM: Thanks for the info! I don't temp and I have no idea how long my luteal phase is because I have gotten KU every month I have confirmed O. Sounds like I am bragging (we know how those ended.) I don't usually spot during my LP so I am guessing I don't have low P.

  22. FliegepilzHut

    pomegranate / 3533 posts

@simplyfelicity: If you wanted to temp for a month or two, your luteal phase is the number of days your temp stays "up"-- 12-14 is average I think. But, having said that, it's probably not necessary!

@ValentineMommy: thanks, someone in the other thread mentioned that your body can reabsorb, sind freaky to me right now. I guess it's not impossible.

Had hcg blood work today so hopefully I can get some additional answers on Wednesday.

@MaryM: sorry your appointment seemed rushed, hopefully you won't need additional testing in 6 months

@simplyfelicity: ugh so sorry, I haven't gone back into the April thread but I'm sure it's very hard not to click on it. hugs

  24. MaryM

    pomelo / 5129 posts

Advance warning...perhaps worse than the due date thread, is when they create a new "labor watch" thread. NEVER click that one.

I refuse to look at bumps and what-not. It's hard enough seeing my SIL with a bump when that was when I should have one too.

Last day of Letrozole/Femara today (CD6) - now we're on O watch. I didn't ovulate until day 20 on my last FET so have a ways to go.

  28. FliegepilzHut

    pomegranate / 3533 posts

@jaguar: Coming... I've got an HSG scheduled to make sure things look good after my D+C...hopefully I can confirm plans for my FET (meds, etc) over the next couple of days!

  29. jaguar

@FliegepilzHut: Excellent! Hopefully the HSG is nice and boring.

@MaryM: ugh. I can't. I really feel like I'm never going to be able to handle other people's pregnancies like a normal human again.

@jaguar: Good luck with that O!!! Sending you good vibes!!!

    @jaguar: Oops...I meant SHG (the U/S one)!
And thanks, my first one was pretty uneventful!

    I'm struggling today.

Last night I had really achy breasts and hurting nipples for no particular reason. This morning I have a massive headache. This is how I felt when I was pregnant with DS.

I feel like I'm never going to be able to move on from this miscarriage. Having a really rough time today I just want my baby.

  33. MaryM

    pomelo / 5129 posts

@ValentineMommy: Tons and tons of hugs for you

I've been noticing I feel a lot more going on with my body post-MC than I ever did before. I wonder if my hormones are still out of whack or something?? But my nipples have been way more sensitive than ever before and I feel like I feel more twinges and aches an things in the pelvic region too. You're totally not alone on similar-to-pregnancy symptoms. It stinks

  34. Jess1483

    nectarine / 2641 posts

@ValentineMommy: I'm so, so sorry you're having a rough day. Sending lots of hugs!

@MaryM: I feel the same. Especially the o-pain (that was nuts! But helps pin down ovulation I suppose). And the nipples.

I tested today, with a cheapie I got from the dollar store today (I purposefully didn't order wondfos this time--I went a little nuts last time). I'm only 7 dpo, so I knew it wasn't going to positive. Which of course it wasn't. I'm not devastated, I know it's too early, but WTH is wrong with me? Step away from the pregnancy tests...

  35. ValentineMommy

    pomelo / 5791 posts

@MaryM: right?? I have MAJOR ovulation pains now that I never had before, and all sorts of odd twinges every now and again. Worst reminder ever of what we've gone through

@Jess1483: I also can't help myself testing. I started like 5dpo with my m/c cycle. Wth was I expecting?! Lol

  36. jaguar

    pomegranate / 3764 posts

@ValentineMommy: If my last cycles are anything to go off (and if the Femara works on me) I won't be O-ing for a long while yet. *hugs* I'm sorry about the phantom symptoms. They're awful.

@FliegepilzHut: Ah gotcha. Hopefully that is STILL boring! hehe.

@MaryM: I think you're right there. Everything is so raw after the m/c that we're really overly in tune with our bodies.

@Jess1483: Too early! I do the same though, so can't blame you. x Hopefully good news over the next few days though!

  37. MaryM

    pomelo / 5129 posts

@Jess1483: Do you chart? FF has these great charts that show the percentage of people that get a BFP on each day past O. I sometimes refer to that to help me wait on testing. If I can see only 2% would see a BFP I realize the chances are so slim!

I heard back from my doctor's office. I should be a doctor. My progesterone is low. duh! (See the benefits of charting?!?)

So they're calling in three months worth of supplements to take starting O+2 for 12 days. I'm not exactly sure where I am in my cycle now (I think I'm 13dpo, but FF says less than that) so I think I'll just wait until next month.

  38. FliegepilzHut

    pomegranate / 3533 posts

@MaryM: Yay! That's good news, because you can treat it! Hoping you get your rainbow baby soon!

  39. MaryM

    pomelo / 5129 posts

@FliegepilzHut: Thanks! I'm *really* hoping that's all it is (because we were able to get KU without trying last year!)

Also really hoping that DH won't be working as many nights during my next fertile week

  40. FliegepilzHut

@MaryM: Will you OB do Day#3 labs, just in case? Also, definitely hoping your DH will be home more during O!
