DS2 is 2.4. He still gets a pacifier at nap and bed time. He still sleeps in his crib in his room (in a backwards zipped sleep sack) and takes naps. He has been a very good sleeper (typically sleeps 7:45-6:45). He got a tummy bug last week and started waking at 6....or earlier. He then also figured out how to take his sleep sack off and now takes it off and gets out of his crib and comes to our room at 6....or earlier.

He is moving to a big boy bed in his brothers room shortly. We ordered his bed months ago and that will be here next weekend. Babiest brother arrives in a few months so we wanted to get him used to being in a new bed/room. Now, he is actually showing signs of being ready (or, at least being done with the crib).

We also need to wean the pacifier, like, yesterday. I do not want to wait until age 3 as I do not want fights with baby brother over a pacifier, etc.

So, my question: do we take the pacifier away first, then move him to his brother's room/bed? Or move him to the bed first? Or do it at the same time? I'm thinking take the pacifier away, then move him. Might as well take paci away given that he's not sleeping that well right now anyways? (My oldest didn't take a pacifier so this is new territory!)

Thoughts?
