Ugh, maybe this is my own fault, but I am really upset about this.

I just got a letter in the mail from a company called Pediatrix to verify my six day old baby's information so they can send us a bill for services they provided in the hospital because they are not affiliated with the hospital. I looked them up online and it appears they performed the newborn hearing screen, but never identified themselves as not being with the hospital.

Now I am freaking out that we are going to get a huge bill from them and it may not be covered by insurance. They also won't file under my insurance, only under the baby's when he has his own ID number, but we won't have that for a few more weeks because we are still deciding what to do.

This was not what I needed today! Anybody else have something like this with their hospital bills?
