Don't love B&G that much but their situation is sad. And my god, the comments on that article. I think I found an example of every typical IF comment.

I started to glance at the comments too and had to close out... internet trolls at their finest.

I love G&B so this is so sad. Especially since that means they only have one more chance to have another baby. I'm heartbroken for them.

@spaniellove: I couldn't even with the comments....their situation seems really tough. Hope they are successful the next time around

I love them! And I'm so sad for them and for their surrogate! I know this must weight heavily on her (though we all know it's not her fault and there's nothing she could have done to prevent it!).

Regardless of your stance for the couple, losing a baby is always a heartbreaking thing.

I'm not a fan of reality tv, but I love this show because I can totally relate to the infertility struggle. Those poor, poor things.

Love them...so sad
And I find it incredibly ironic that the comments referencing "God" (not just on this article but basically every news article) are always the most hateful/judgmental.

@Adira: Can you fill me in on what is going on with their IVF/embryo situation?

I was reading the comments. So sad they have only one more chance. They had two frozen eggs before this miscarriage and they only have one more egg left. I wonder if they could extract more eggs?

I couldn't read the comment, every other one I wanted to post a response...doing exactly what they want. so sad.

Aw how sad. i hope the new embryo leads to a healthy pregnancy. I really admire them for sharing their journey publicly. It's so brave and helpful to others struggling.

Really sad for G&B. I just read the first comment and had to close it. People are so mean.

So sad for them.
I can't even look at the comment section. I'm sure there are people out there that will never understand our IF struggle.

I think she had to freeze her eggs before taking treatment for breast cancer. The medicine she is on for the next 3 years would not be safe to extract while on the medicine.

Wow!!! Those comments are horrendous. I feel so sad for them and I hope hope hope the next one sticks
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@spaniellove: I think others have already answered your question, but basically they only had two frozen embryos left and they decided to transfer one. With this miscarriage, that means they only have one embryo left to try with. Giuliana is still on medication for her breast cancer, so she wouldn't be able to try again or harvest more eggs for another 3 or so years.

Very sad.
Had to read the comments and yes, I've read and seen these comments way too many times.

I don't care who they are that is really sad for anyone Not going to look at the comments

I'm not a huge G fan (love B though) but my heart BREAKS for them. After all she had to deal with with her IF/MC, you'd hope that she wouldn't have to deal with a MC through surrogate too. Praying their last embryo works out.
It also made me wonder how that works out for the surrogate. I'm sure they have a contract for how every single option plays out. I am sure surrogates do it for many reasons but obviously financial is part of it so I wonder how that plays out. I also can't imagine since I know they're close now, how heartbreaking it is and how I'm sure it's hard not to blame yourself/wonder if you could have done anything.

So sad. Even more after hearing she only has one more embryo. That really puts the stress on.

I'm confused! I watched the finale and they said she wasn't pregnant. So was this MC a different try and their last embryo ?
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Mrs. Champagne: I'm confused about that as well, because the articles I have read on-line said they still have an embryo left! But I was thinking the same thing as you - if the surrogate wasn't pregnant, then wouldn't this m/c be from their last embryo???
nectarine / 2152 posts
@Mrs. Champagne: @Adira: I was just going to say that I was confused too after the finale last night! One of them definitely says they still have one left after the FET didn't work...so what's the story? Maybe just another example of how reality tv isn't so 'real'? I don't know but I'm so sad for them
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Mrs. Champagne: Just read something that implied the miscarriage is what occurs in the season finale, so they do still have one embryo left.
persimmon / 1479 posts
I don't think this story really has anything new but here is an update on the article: http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20822926,00.html
I can't imagine how hard it must be for G to report on all the celebrity pregnancy rumors/baby news. She always seems so strong and positive.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Trailmix: @Mrs. Champagne: Okay, I finally get it. I saw an interview with G where she was talking about the miscarriage and she specifically said that that scene in the show where they find out about the pregnancy not working is when they found out about the miscarriage. It seems like the show was just edited in such a way so as to not make the miscarriage known if G&B wanted to keep it private. They made it seem like the embryo just didn't stick or something, but in the interview, it was clear that that was the miscarriage happening.
@winter_wonder: Thanks for linking that update! It makes it very clear that YES, they have one embryo left. I really hope that one works for them! They are such a sweet couple!!
