I'll admit I am HORRIBLE about doing this internally & lately it's been a common tone in our home, with all of us (G included).
To be completely honest, I JUST did this when *I* broke a sentimental glass that DH & I used for communion in our wedding. *I* am the one that knocked it off the counter while putting up some clean dishes, but *he* is the only one that uses it for regular drinking. I know DH will be a bit upset when I tell him (I'm generally the clumsy one & only one that breaks things) but I couldn't help be mad at *him* while I swept it up... even though it was ME that broke it. Sigh
I'm generally really good at not verbally shifting blame BUT I know that my thoughts & feelings definitely dictate my reactions & demeanor towards the one I've "shifted blame to". Gotta get better about that!
So are you a Blameshifter? Is your DH?
ETA: DH told me "Ok no biggie". Now I really feel like a butt! Grrrr. lol
