@Mrs. Bee: @cyndistar3: Not even that many!! 4,007 pins. I guess I am just pinning too many in one day? I tried waiting 5 mins and it said the same thing.
@Mrs. Bee: Do you usually pin a lot in one day/time period, or is it pretty spaced out? I have only been on my PC about 10 minutes so it has honestly been less than 10-15 pins in a row!

@NYCaliMama: I think so! They seem to be installing a lot of new features to combat spam, and it seems they don't have all the tweaks worked out yet.

I haven't pinned in SO long, so I never received that message. I'm thinking about getting back into pinterest - but I somehow had pins on my log in screen that I never followed in the first place, and the person wasn't in my list to unfollow. that kind of turned me off to it - she posted really bizarre things that weren't my style at all.
if you follow enough people, do they kind of 'overtake' the log in screen, for lack of better word? (so I'm seeing what I'm interested in or what my friends are posting, as opposed to randomness?)

@sorrycharlie: when you sign up it automatically has you following like ten users. I went to each of those people and clicked "unfollow all". Then when I saw a board or people I liked, I click follow or follow all. I only follow people I chose. And those are the pins on my homepage

@Coco Bee: yay thanks! I just logged in and looked at the people I'm following to unfollow them - and there are a TON of people listed, but it says "follow"..why are they on there if I'm not following them? lol I'm sorry! I'm kind of pinterest-slow I think!

@sorrycharlie: Perhaps because you don't have anyone that you're following yet, so they just create a homepage for you of most recent pins I am assuming. If you have no one you're follwing then you would have no homepage... if that makes sense??!
@kml636: Because spammers pin many pins in a row, follow many people in a row, comment or change links - and they do a lot at a time. So in an effort to combat spam, anyone who shows similar characteristics is temporarily "banned" from pinning/commenting. It's a pain but I understand why they did it I guess.

@Coco Bee: lol that makes sense! but I logged into my existing account, so there are definitely people I'm following - the people with the "option" to follow are sprinkled within the ones that have the option to "unfollow"...I'll just ignore it and hope better things pop up on my homepage soon, hahah!
