Do you have any saline spray or saline rinse (like a neti-pot like thing) around? Or take him in the shower and turn on the hot water for a little bit until he clears?

@Mrs squirreld: They sell the kind that you spray up and it's more of a mist (Little noses); but the saline rinse kind you have to sit him upright and it'll go in one nostril and come out the other side. I use it religiously with my two boys when they get sick. It helps a lot with all the snot that comes with colds. Wish I could have been more helpful! I know that it's tough trying either of those with a 6-month-old. Hope he feels better soon though. These little ones are so resilient though. Hang in there!

I also recommend the mist spray saline spray. We have the arm and hammer kids spray. I hope your LO feels better

saline drops.
Or if you're breastfeeding, you can drip some breastmillk up his nose as well.

If you have an eye dropper, you can just drip a drop of saline rinse in each nostril. It works better if he stays on his back for a minute afterward... though I've never managed to get DS to stay still that long.
