Has anyone here had experience dealing with a blocked fallopian tube while TTC? According to the Dr who did my HSG my left tube is completely blocked. Right is fine as well as my uterus so that's a plus. I'm on the waiting list to be scheduled for a laparoscopy for the new year as per my Dr's request from the consult appt. I can't get in to see my Dr at the fertility clinic to discuss these results and the also the results from all of the recent bldwrk until Nov and the Dr who did the HSG wouldn't say much (probably because she's not my doc) so just looking for anyone who can give me some insight into where we might go from here... I'm pretty sure (hoping) I'm going to O out of the right side this cycle so DH and I are making sure we're DTD as much as we (more so he) can!

We struggled with secondary infertility and after the dye test, my RE doctor thought one of my tubes could be blocked. He mentioned that the dye test wasn't perfect or 100% accurate but adding up other factors there was a high chance that it was.
I had the option of surgery (insurance covered) but the doctor warned that even with it, it doesn't correct the problem all the way and bc it is a major surgery that scar tissues can form and cause blockage again. Also, TTC would have to be put on hold until after surgery to recover Another option was ivf (not covered) which doesn't need eggs to come down the tube.
I chose to go another route of follicle monitoring, injectables, and an IUI. That way if an egg did come down my unblocked tube, we could maximize its potential. Meds were covered but the other costs were not. Fortunately, in the end it worked the first cycle and currently 18 weeks!
