I had bloodwork done to evaluate where I am now 5 months after mc. Here are my results... I have a call in but I have NO IDEA what they mean and googling them has me even more confused and kinda scary.
I'm really wondering about the FSH and LH.
These were done on CD 8 at 4:15pm.

Free T4 1.2
FSH 5.9
LH 18.0
Prolactin 12.6

I'm not much help in interpreting the numbers. I hope you get a response soon from the doctor's office that helps you understand them better. Stay away from Dr. Google

Does yours give you a range for 'normal'? Mine has a normal range next to it, so I can tell you the ranges my lab considers 'normal', but your dr can prob give you a much better idea of what the numbers mean for you.
I'm just attaching pics 'cause I'm on my phone & it's hard for me to switch back to look at the photo & type the ranges. Ignore the number all the way to the right, those are mine, but you can see the range for each stage.

I second what Mrs. Bird said... those numbers might not be absolute, depends on which tests the lab used. I'd check with the range before taking to Dr. Google.

I agree, if they gave you a range it's probably best to refer to that. Did your dr tell you to do the b/w on/around CD8? I'm curious because I'm supposed to do it between CD2-4, so if your dr specified that cycle day you'd probably have a different reference range.

Sorry! The same kind of thing happened to me with my blood work. I got the results in the mail before anyone called to discuss them with me and I did the Dr. Google thing, too. I'm sure your doc will call soon and let you know what everything means and you'll get much better answers!

TSH 1.390 0.400 - 5.500
Free T4 1.2 0.7 - 1.8
FSH 5.9 Reference range: Follicular: 2-11 Midcycle: 10-30
Luteal: 1-9 Post Meno: 20-100 Male: 1.0-10.0
LH 18.0 Reference range: Follicular: 1-12 Midcycle: 20-90 Luteal: 1-10 Post Meno: >20 Male: 1.0-7.0
Prolactin 12.6 2.0 - 17.4
@jojogirl: @spaniellove: at my annual he told me that if my cycles did not regulate in the next 3 months to call so when they kept changing I did. He ordered the bw but did not give a certain day to do it.
The LH doesn't fall into a specific range and I don't know what any of those terms mean. I wish they would call before posting them on my chart.

@alison206: I'm not positive, but I think Follicular corresponds with the first few days of your cycle, while AF is here, and Luteal is after you ovulate. Since your test was on CD 8, I believe you're in the midcycle range, which might suggest your FSH and LH are low, but I'm not positive about that.

@alison206: You were in the follicular phase when you did the tests (vs midcycle or luteal/LP), and it looks like everything looks pretty normal. Your LH is somewhere in between follicular and typical midcycle, so it makes me wonder if you were starting to gear up to O or if you just have a higher LH level. But that would explain all the H's from the monitor!

@spaniellove @adira: thank you for explaining it, it makes much more sense now. It could explain the 8 days of high on the monitor.
Does anyone know if my results indicate if I'll have another normal cycle? Last cycle was 29 days which was a huge drop from 37 days.

I just had CD3 b/w done yesterday, so I was researching this stuff too. I had pretty much the same FSH as you, and it looks great! You want it to be on the low side, and normal is 3-9. 10-12 indicates a moderate problems, >20 is pretty much ovarian failure. But under 6 is considered excellent.
This is what I found for LH: Normal is <7. A normal LH level is similar to FSH. An LH that is higher than FSH is one indication of PCOS.

Sorry I posted after a few other people, the numbers I posted were for CD3, so if you went later in your cycle, that would explain why LH is higher than recommended.

@mrscb: thanks for the website recommendation. I guess at this point I'm more curious as to what they expect my cycle to do now. Hopefully it stays in the normal range
