Just looking through the 1,000+ pictures I have on my iPhone 5 and I'm so bummed to see that more than half of them are blurry. Grr. My bag is full enough as it is, so I just use my phone as my main camera. Any tips on how to take better iPhone pics??

I have this problem too. even if i think it came out well, when it prints or I look at it larger, it's not good quality at all. I'm really disappointed! everyone raves about iphone pictures..

Do you tap the screen where you want it to focus? That makes a huge difference!

I had the same problem! I took hundreds of pictures, then had them printed and they were all blurry! Never knew about the tap function. Doh!

I tap to focus but mine are still not fantastic when they're printed

my hand is rock steady from years of taking pictures. it makes a big difference!

Also, are you sure your lens is clean? You can get a lot of blur from grime left on the lens.

The first thing I do is to zoom in and out on what I'm trying to capture and then tap to focus... The key thing I learned to do after tapping and zooming, is to hold down the key to take the picture and steady my hand. Once I feel like i have the image I want to capture and my phone is no longer moving, I release the button and it snaps the picture! I've had MUCH better results since learning that little trick!

@Mrs. Bee: My hands are definitely not as steady as yours. I only get sharp pictures when I'm in broad daylight. Anytime I'm indoors they are blurry!
I keep a real camera with me at all times. The Canon Powershot S95 is my go to camera even though I also have a Canon 7D dslr.

Many of mine are grainy. I have just the iphone 4, so I'm not sure if that's why.
