We started BLW and LO(6 months) loves yams and mushy broccoli. She also loves making a mess!
When you started BLW, did you just do feedings when you were around? What about daycare? Our daycare doesn't feel comfortable with BLW...I'm wondering if I should send rice cereal and purees so LO can have more than just breast milk while we are at work.

I also don't see why not? She'll need to start eating food during the day as she gets older. When DD was around 6 months I would send purees to school with her. After a few months I would send cut up food. If daycare was uncomfortable with the size of the pieces, then they would make them even smaller.

Haha, I guess I was concerned LO would forget about BLW. I'm sure we will be fine...she won't turn down a chance to play with food!

We sent two servings of puree to daycare and then did blw at home in the evenings. Around 9 mints she was eating more and making less of a mess so we started sending finger foods.

Our daycare was also not comfortable wish blw. We did finger foods at home and purees there. I never did rice cereal because it has almost no nutritional value and is all carbs. We focused on fruits, veggies and meat.
Once we were absolutely certain he could eat a food we would sent that at well in pieces.
