Anyone have some books they would recommend for breastfeeding info? We took a class but I think I'd like to read a book too! Give me your reviews!

I liked Ida May's Guide to Breastfeeding. She's very granola, but her book had a lot of good information in it.

I never read a book but got a lot of tips from the Kelly mom and Ameda websites. Good luck!

The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding was my go-to! I also read the Dr. Sears book. I got them both from the library and kept them on hand for the first month that DS was here, it was useful as a reference.

I liked Breastfeeding Made Simple. Easy to read and lots of in depth step by step instructions and pictures.

I liked Breast Feeding Made Simple, too. I haven't actually done any breastfeeding yet to put it into practice, but it did seem to simplify things and make the process low stress (though not necessarily low effort)

I have a few books, but never opened them. I did visit http://kellymom.com/ multiple times a day in the first several weeks. So much information (that you would find in any book), and it was so easy to look stuff up on my phone while nursing!

I would say scratch the book and stick with Kelly Mom, the site was my go to during the first 6 weeks of breastfeeding...and even now that LO has teeth.

Nursing Mother's Companion was very thorough without being too preachy. I also second/third/whatever the suggestion to read up at kellymom!

I'm reading the Womanly Art of Breastfeeding. I think its pretty informative, and I'm learning a lot. I do find it to be a judgmental / preachy book, though.

Dr Jack Newman's guide to breastfeeding. I also recommend his video. It's a little old, but IMO seeing him latch new mothers and watching a baby breastfeed gave me a better idea of what to expect. Good luck!!

I also loved the Nursing mother's companion. It came free from the hospital and was really helpful.
