I grew up in Boston but don't remember the kid stuff! We'll be visiting my parents next week and we're going in to the city one day. Trying to decide if my 3 year old would have more fun at the Children's Museum or the Museum of Science. Thoughts?

@Truth Bombs: I actually have never been to the museum of science but we love the children's museum and I feel like there is a lot for a 3 year old to do! But do be aware they charge full price for anyone over 12 months which is annoying or me. Hopefully someone who has been to the MoS can chime in too. Is one more convenient from where you are coming from?
It's good you aren't coming this week- it's school vacation week so I'm sure both are really crowded!

We just went to the Children's Museum with our 3 yo in October. He seemed to really enjoy it! Can't speak to how it compared to the Science Museum since we didn't go there.

Definitely children's museum. Museum of science is better for older kids.

My kids (4 and 1) loved the children's museum. We took our son when he was about 2 to the museum of science and felt there wasn't much for him to do. It's definitely geared more towards older kids. I would ask the local library to see if they have any discount tickets for the museums. I got discounted discounts (50% off) from my parents' library.

Thank y'all! I think Children's Museukis the way to go. I just have so many fond memories of the museum of science from when I was little!

@carebear412: @Truth Bombs: good point- if your parents or anyone you know are local they could reserve the passes from the library- good for half off for up to four people.
