I just got my hair cut on Wednesday (it's Friday here now) and I hate it!! I wanted several inches cut off and for it to be majorly thinned out (it's so thick!) - essentially I wanted a chin length bob with some layers.

Well, the front of my hair is cut in a chin length bob and is fine, but the back is below the nape of my neck, just past the tops of my shoulders, and the layers are cut in a way that makes the underneath layers flip up, giving me a super awesome Mrs Brady look. NOT the look I was going for.

Now the haircut only cost $28, which is super cheap for here, but I really hate it and want it fixed! DH wants me to go back to the same salon and ask them to fix it, but I'm really nervous I'll insult them and then they'll botch my hair even more! Or I'm worried they'll tell me that I didn't explain my hair cut well enough and they gave me what I asked for, therefore they're under no obligation to fix it etc.

What do you do when your hair cut goes awry? How do you diplomatically ask for it to be fixed? Have you ever had a bad experience when you have gone to have it fixed and it ended up worse than before?

For reference, I've attached a pic of the Mrs Brady look (a la my hair now) and two pics of what I was going for. Note: I did not bring these pics in with me but will do so if I go to get it fixed today.
