What bottle are you using hon? And how are you giving it to her? Sometimes kids need full quiet, sometimes they need to be bounced or rocked while they feed, sometimes the nipple isn't working well for them or they're having trouble latching properly. Just off the top of my head Once we know more, we can help @crystbum:

We have had success with the Playtex Nurser bottles. It's closest to my breast shape. Which bottles have you tried?

Both of my kids were primarily formula fed but I still feel like we went through a lot of bottles. We've tried Advent, Dr. Brown's, and Tommee Tippee. DS would only drink from Dr. Brown's, DD would only drink from Tommee Tippee. Each baby is different!

Well, I've tried just about every bottle out there it seems. She has acid reflux but not bad enough to be put on zantac yet..so the bottle seems to make her gag, doesn't matter what type. I have been going through somewhat of a cluster feeding week from a growth spur of hers and I'm worn out. Also have a 2 year old, so being able to do 1 bottle a day would be awesome. ..but no luck

Right now playtex, avent, nuk- have been the most recent purchase. I haven't tried glass bottles. .

@crystbum: Big hugs - is it possibly the nipple? Could it be the flow is too fast for her and that's why she's having trouble with it? I would see if there's a preemie version or a size zero. What bottles have you tried with some mild success? Maybe there's something similar in those that's helping but just not helping enough. For my kids they need the anti-colic do-hickeys to put that one extra step between latching and feeding. Plus less air bubbles.

Huge, huge hugs. Do you have a Playtex Vent-Aire yet? That might help with the reflux.

Also, we noticed a huge improvement right around 12 weeks with the bottle. It all of a sudden got easier.

@Mrs. Grizzly Bear: Preemie version, hmm very good idea! I've always heard that possibly having her in a position furthest from my chest, like a little lounger or swing facing me maybe? Only trouble with that is with the acid reflux I really try and sit her up as much as I can

@crystbum: Keep me posted! We had a rough spot with feedings about this time too but believe me, been there! Hard to keep your cool and manage your toddler too.

@crystbum: It sounds like you already thought of this but the one thing that helped us was to prop her in a seat to feed her the bottle-- she didn't want to be cradled by me or anyone else. We usually had her in the rock and play, but used the carseat in a pinch too. We burped after, but she didn't have major reflux issues.
