I was underwhelmed overall, but the last 10 minutes were good. It'll be interesting to see how Hank handles things.

I'm just surprised the confrontation was so soon! I don't think Hank can turn Walt in though. How would he explain that it's his brother in law? That he went on stake outs with him? He would have a very hard time convincing people he wasn't a part of the cover up. I can't wait to see how it ends, or better yet who lives through to the end. (:

I might be going about this all wrong, but Walt needs to eliminate hank. And hanks wife and skylar just because I don't like them. I was cringing when Jesse was throwing out the money!
persimmon / 1171 posts
@anonysquire: I would agree that Walt take them out, and then Jesse can kill him! The name of the show is breaking bad, I think Jesse is the only one that can break the habit, but he has to kill Walt first. (: I hope that's what happens. Poor Jesse

@hellocupcake: oh man but I semi like Walt! And now I feel bad the cancer has come back. Jesse is hott though, so I'd like if he stays alive!

It's amazing what a liar Walt has become. He really is a greedy monster and he's even completely believing his own lies. Interesting how his cancer is back...a lot of climax in the first episode! Makes me wonder about the flashback in the beginning where he revisits his abandoned house!

Wow. Good guys, bad guys. The lines are so distinct even when both parties realize family is on the other side. The writes and producers are not messing around. I love seeing Skylar so fierce. Poor Jesse he is still tormented by his demons. I am team Hank all the way. Walt is a master manipulator and liar. He is too dangerous.

I loved seeing Jesse throw the money into the ghetto - IMO back to the people who buy drugs - like he doesn't want their money anymore. I have such hope for him!
I'm very interested to see how the house becomes like it was in that flashback!
This show is so well written!!!

@ChattyCathy: I don't think his cancer is back! I think he is so good at lying and manipulating people that it was just so easy for him to play the cancer card. I used to like him, but he's in too deep. He's hurt too many people, and every chance he has to get out of the business he chooses not to.
@Mrsjets: I have so much hope for him too. I'm scared that the writers might kill him off to prove a point I really hope he is the one to make it out at the end

My husband read an interesting article predicting the end. The person who wrote it believes that Walt takes on habits/characteristics of everyone he kills...and it led to some interesting thoughts about what might happen based on some of the things we've seen so far. I don't want to ruin it for anyone, so I'll leave it at that!
I think Walt really went off the deep end awhile back and that he'll need to be killed to be stopped. I don't want Jesse to do it...he's got enough blood and guilt on his hands. I really hope he finds his way.
It's so funny how invested I am in this show! I usually don't get into tv like this!

@hellocupcake: I definitely agree with you re: Walt and the cancer, and everything else! He is a master manipulator.

@hellocupcake: @Sophia: On the cancer returning - didn't we see him getting chemo again? Or was that a flashback and I missed that it was?
cantaloupe / 6923 posts
@hellocupcake: @lindseykaye: I was going to mention that too, he was in the chemo chair. But it could have been a flashback, or he could just be sitting there?
apricot / 432 posts
@lindseykaye: @anonysquire: I think it is likely that his cancer came back, but I just don't trust him! He was also sick during dinner.
pear / 1992 posts
@Sophia: Yes, it seemed like he was sick from the drugs (we saw on the counter in the bathroom) but that not only had his cancer come back but he was also hiding it from his family, acting all nonchalant before going to yak.

Oh man!! I'm just finishing the second season. I just watched Jessie's junkie girlfriend for last night. Walt's crazy!!! I can hardly wait to get to the current season.

@lindseykaye: did I miss that?! Ahh, if his cancer is back that changes a lot! I'm torn as to whether this will be his cause of death. @Sophia: I am way too invested too I am so curious to see what the writers will do! I was already disappointed with a few other show's series finales, I hope this show ends as good as it started.

@hellocupcake: @Sophia: @lindseykaye: yes! he was in the chair, getting chemo when he was takling to Saul on the phone about Jesse dropping off the money.
@matador84: i wonder how his house gets like that, too! and it seems like he either lied to Hank about how serious his cancer was (he claimed that Hank would have no one to prosecute in 6 months-- but the house and his appearance make it seem like longer than 6 months has passed) or he ended up beating it again, with the hair growth and all.
@hellocupcake: i think the phrase means that someone good "breaks bad"-- aka, just goes apeshit, turn against your old life and become a bad person. If anything, Jesse is is "breaking good" if that's possible!
I loved this episode-- we DVR'd it so we didn't see the scenes from next week's episode because we didn't record that next show. I loved how they showed Hank going through all of the evidence again-- it was a nice way to recap the past 4 1/2 seasons without being so "in your face" about it.

Loved seeing Jesse's character break and develop. Love seeing the good turn to bad, and the bad seemingly turning to good.
The flash-forward in the beginning is so juicy and intriguing. I really love that this series always had a definitive "ending" in mind - it makes me really addicted! Mostly, I really love having a show that both my husband and I equally love. Poor guy watches much more Bachelorette and Reah Housewives than he can stand. What a guy!

hmm what is breaking bad?? maybe that'll be our new show i'll look it up!
pear / 1699 posts
So the big question in the flash forward for me was who was Walt getting the poison for...Lydia, Jesse, Saul, Hank, himself?!?! Ugh it's just sooo juicy!
hostess / wonderful persimmon / 25556 posts
Since I don't trust Walt anymore, I don't trust this whole cancer angle. He has to die in the end and I don't think the cancer will be the thing that would kill him (too anti-climatic). I love delicious endings to shows and would love to see his head on a tortoise walking off in to the sunset, maybe with Jesse standing in the fading sunlight watching him go....

@mediagirl: hahah thanks! I only got a minute in, but I'm intrigued. Maybe we'll find it tonight on netflix.

@sorrycharlie: YES. DO IT. You won't regret it. Well, you might regret losing the next month of your life because you'll have to watch BB on Netflix every night to catch up.
papaya / 10560 posts
@sorrycharlie: must. watch.@Mrsjets: i know, the ricin was such a big deal in season 4 or 5, i nearly forgot he had hidden it there! i can't wait to see why he went through all the trouble to go back and get it.
and did anyone notice he was in the car that he switched in the episode when he left the dinner (where he left the waitress a 100$ bill) that had all the weapons in the trunk?

I just scrolled down all the way to the bottom, because I'm totally jealous that I didn't see this yet!! I literally just finished watching all the seasons on Netflix yesterday!! Hmmm...hulu here I come!!

Just saw the episode. So many questions.
The beginning did start off slow but I can't wait for the next episode by the end of it.
Oh, how Hank summarizes what Walt has done was just so eye-opening. I forgot about most of it. Walt is so evil but yet I'm still rooting for him.
As for Jesse, I want to see him 'normal' again, I hope something clicks and he does something to either get back at Walt or something.
@matador84: The car did look familiar and I was wondering if they were flashing back to the flash forward from last season.
persimmon / 1171 posts
@HabesBabe: That makes so much sense. I feel like I need to watch the series all over again (: haha
@mediagirl: that clip is amazing. I showed the husband, he agrees (:
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
I just love this show.
I think that in the end, Hank and Walt come to a stand off, Jesse comes in between and ultimately kills Walt.
GOLD / eggplant / 11517 posts
I think his cancer is definitely back. His evil deeds keeps the cancer away. His only means to 'salvation' is to continue breaking bad or the cancer will overtake him.
I'm dying to see how this all plays out!!!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@DillonLion: that is such an interesting perspective!

For anyone who hasn't seen it, the episode is now online.

@matador84: Me! Holy sh*tballs!!!! I did not see that coming with the tape - very well done!
papaya / 10560 posts
@travelgirl1: i didn't see it coming with jesse going totally ape shizzz! i keep flashing back to the first episode of the season where walt goes into his abandoned house and gets the ricin cigarette...it's kinda sorta coming together!
