LO is 8 months and still stinks at taking his bottle (I've been back to work since 4 months). He prefers not to be held when taking the bottle or facing out if held. Have you tried putting your LO in a bouncer and feeding the bottle. We also use Playtex Nursers which have a wider nipple than Dr. Browns.

my LO is 9 months and still fights the bottle, and i went back to work at 2.5 months. For a while, she took it like a champ, but then she went back to rejecting it again once she realized she was old enough to have an opinion i'm still nursing, and hadn't planned on it, because it's the only way i can assure she'll eat!

have you tried any other bottles? also, she takes the bottle better when we bring her to the park or something because she's too distracted to fight it. at that age, we also let her look out the window a lot. You can also try varying the temperatures of the milk and maybe try stretching out her feedings so she's hungrier? i also second the bouncer recommendation - for a while that was the only place she'd eat!

Does he take a pacifier? My baby is pretty fussy about taking a bottle and for months refused to take one at all. I tried soooo many different bottles with little no luck but he loves MAM pacifiers so I tried the MAM bottle as a last resort and it was the one he found least offensive.

Distracting him was the only other thing that helped. My husband fed him a bottle in the swing while the lights and mobile were on....my dad was able to give him a bottle by letting the baby stare at stained glass while eating.
