I'm about a month from my due date with my second child. I think I want to get a ring sling to nurse on the go but im not sure. I'm large breasted and when I started nursing DS1 we couldn't move at all while nursing. I had to use the my breast friend pillow and hold my breast for him or he couldn't stay latched. I still breastfeed him at 18 months and I'm much more confident with nursing now, but I wonder if it's a waste to spend money on a ring sling if we'll still have a hard time with latches with DS2? Has anyone successfully nursed in the ring sling, especially if you are large breasted? I also have a boba wrap and ergo just to throw that out there....

I've nursed in a wrap since first born, but not in a ring sling until the girls were 7/8 months or so.

I was able to nurse in a ring sling (38DD) from about 3 weeks or so, comfortably. It was when LO had a bit of neck control. I also folded my bras down and sort of tucked them underneath my breast to help position my nipple a little bit upward, so that the weight of my breast wasn't something LO had to contend with, and so that I didn't have to hold it.

@junebugmama: That's awesome! I'm smaller chested, but I think that might work for anyone. I just felt like the rings got in my way, but I've never been a huge R/S person.
