We're a military family and stationed overseas. A good friend is moving back to the States last-minute at the end of the month. She has 2 dogs, a purebred Bull Mastiff and a Mastiff/Staffy mix. She is being forced to give up both of her babies because the base that they are moving to is in an area with a bully breed ban. Even if they were to live on the base, they still cant keep them because the base doesnt allow dogs over 100lbs. I trust my 10 minth old daughter around these dogs. They are sweet and affectionate and well-behaved. It sucks that discrimination is tearing her family apart and it sucks that the military didnt find them somewhere that accomodated their WHOLE family.

Military families get so much crap for being irresponsible pet owners and abandoning animals when they move and such, and yet the military itself causes these situations.

It makes me incredibly sad.
