I saw on the Today show this morning that a new Bridget Jones book is coming out...It is Bridget at 50, with 2 children, and....WIDOWED from Mark Darcy!
Bridget Jones was my favorite series. Ever. I loved the movies too.

I heard about that and have decided not to read the book - especially after I heard that Daniel Cleaver does return. No Mark Darcy but emotional f***wit Daniel Cleaver? Sigh.

I know, I read that in the paper several days ago and was so upset. Between Downton Abbey and now Bridget Jones, I just can't take the heartache of British writing anymore! I'm just waiting for someone to write a sequel to Pride & Prejudice now and kill off the real Mr Darcy (ok, not real, but the original - Fitzwilliam Darcy, not Mark Darcy) and then I will officially wash my hands of all British writing!

It's so lame! Like...why??! Mark Darcy, and their relationship was the best party of the books/movies! The author must have gone crazy.

I just mentioned in the favorite actor thread that I love love love colin firth because who else could do both the kings speech AND bridget jones movies!! Ugh, no more Mark Darcy? What's the point? This is insanity.
