Yeah, I agree w/ @Mrs. Champagne: - go with the cheaper one. We have the Britax B-Safe and we just switched DS to a convertible at 9 months (and ~19lbs) because it's just too heavy to carry.

I agree as well. We have the Britax BSafe and we were happy with it. The serial number should be on the car seat so you could check to make sure it wasn't recalled and it's not expired. I would be nervous buying a used car seat though as you don't know if it's been in any accidents. I have never heard of that site though, just assuming it's used gear!

And you just need one seat and two bases.

@stiletto_mom: I agree with pp, DS is barely 18 lbs at 10 months and I stopped carrying him around in the carrier. As it is, the Britax is pretty heavy (compared to the chicco.)

The lower weight limit should be fine. I was never big on taking the seat out of the car. My 8 month old is still only 16 lbs, and I already dislike carrying her in the seat.

I also agree with pp's that I wouldn't recommend buying a used seat unless you know the background. It would make me nervous and wouldn't be worth the savings to me. We chose to buy a cheaper infant seat, knowing that we wouldn't be in the car as much with an infant, and spend more money on a convertible seat.

Personally I would not buy a used seat from an unknown source.

The other difference I've heard about is the way that the old BSafe has the belt guide for a seatbelt install without a base.

We have the regular, older B-Safe. Ours goes up to 30 lbs and 32 inches.

We've been really happy with it. We have the B-Agile stroller, and I love how easily they fit together.

My daughter is 8 months old and is 20 lbs and almost 29 inches. She's gotten too heavy for me to carry in the seat, so I just keep it in my car permanently for now. I've bought a Marathon Clicktight that we need to install instead.

We have the reg B-Safe. I cant imagine carrying baby in that once they are that big.
