I haven't started a registry... I haven't bought anything baby related besides TTC products. I'm signed up for some lists... and the "freebies" post on here is so tempting, but I don't want to jinx myself. I don't want to miss a good deal, but figured there will always be sales. The one thing I'm really tempted to start buying is Cloth Diapering stuff...

Not yet, but I'm so tempted sometimes! And I have a bunch of bookmarks for things I want, but I also don't want to jinx myself! I'm going to try not to buy anything until I see that BFP!

I bought some baby things while I was preggo the first time... and then miscarried. I made hubby put the stuff in a box and hide it, I didn't get it back until I was ready to put LO's nursery together. For my pregnancy with LO, I didn't buy anything until I was passed the 12 week point.

I bought some stuff prior to TTC. Now that I'm pregnant, I won't buy anything until after the first trimester. I'm way too superstitious about it. I have one more week until I hit 12 weeks, but I may not even buy anything until 14 weeks either.

I didn't buy anything until I was pregnant. I thought that for me, it would be a little rough on me if I bought things and it ended up taking longer than desired to conceive.

I would love to start buying stuff that I see on sale, but I'm way too superstitious. I do have a bunch of stuff bookmarked on Amazon, though!

There will definitely always be sales! Try to wait... sometimes I find that waiting doesn't hurt because with this fast-moving baby industry, things get better and better in a matter of months. Manufacturers are always improving their products or coming out with new ones.

Nope! Want to save it for the time when I'm actually pregnant. I am on the lookout for a onesie that says something "daddy" related that I can give to DH when I get a positive HPT. But that's it.

Nycalimama said it best, new stuff comes out all of the time, so I would wait until I was pregnant, and even then, at least 20 weeks.

No, I didn't want to jinx it either, so I haven't purchased anything. Also, I'm afraid if I have trouble conceiving, I don't want a constant reminder that I'm not pregnant yet.
We decided to stop TTC since we might be moving soon. It kills me inside when I see anything baby related. This is just out in public and online (FB, pinterest). I think it would be really hard on me if I had stuff inside my house.

So funny to see this, I was just on amazon looking up baby stuff last night! I was trying to hide it because I know DHwill think I am nuts. My case is a little different, because like @artbee I miscarried... I was 12 weeks and has the stroller & a few cloth diapers. This time I'm not going to buy anything until as long as possible, but I do have a registry where I have all my wants... It helps to dream!

@kml636: I'm like you. I miscarried and I don't think I'll buy anything until 12 weeks this time. Most of what I have are some maternity jeans b/c they were on sale, and some baby items that a cousin gave me. They're all hidden in a box in the closet.
I have a lot of stuff bookmarked and saved in my favorites on Amazon.

Guess I'm the odd one out. I've bought two onesies. They're seasonal and I couldn't resist. They're both valentines. One is a baseball shirt style that says "little Casanova" and the other has a raccoon in a bandit mask that says "watch out, I'll steal your heart". Too cute!

I bought a stroller. But I bought it from one of my cousins who was selling her used BOB. I'm a runner and I knew I would need a BOB and I figured I'd rather pay her 50% of the cost than buy a new one later on. It was a good deal for both of us so I went for it. I bought that before I was even pregnant. I've since gotten pregnant and then miscarried but the stroller being in the house really doesn't bother me. I honestly think it would have bothered me more if it was something I had specifically bought during the time I was pregnant. As it is I don't associate the stroller with the pregnancy, it was just a smart move. It also lives in the room that will eventually be a nursery so I don't see it often.

I can't bring myself to buy anything...I won't even read any books or anything about childbirth. I figure 9 months is plenty of time to do that, and buying anything before we're pregnant feels like I'm jinxing myself. And, DH would think I was insane!

I'm so tempted sometimes, especially when I pass clearance racks and see adorable things that I would love. But I never imagined it would take this long to get pregnant, and I can't imagine having a closet full of baby things staring me in the face.

I bought 2 onesies and a super cute toy on Etsy right before I went off b/c/we started TTC. I don't believe that buying stuff ahead can jinx me though, I'm not superstitious that way.

@mrsjyw: I only bought Mayo Clinic Guide to Pregnancy after 8 weeks. My SIL sent me some books after we announced to our families. I'm not buying anything baby related for another week or two once we have our NT scan.
