Hi Everyone
I'm scheduled for a section in two weeks, and was wondering if anyone used any products that helped your incision/scar heal faster?
Thank you!

I used almond oil and coconut oil on my belly throughout my pregnancy and continued after the steri-strips came off. My scar is very minimal.

Nothing to do with the scar.. But peppermint oil to drink. Helped immensely with the trapped wind that's very common post c section. Good luck!

I used Earth Mama Angel Baby Mama Bottom Balm. It felt really nice on the incision, was approved by my OB, and I healed very quickly with minimal scarring. Hope you have a great experience with your birth!

Not for the scar, but I liked wearing a belly binder to help with the pain, and a robe with big pockets (so I could carry things around with me, making it less likely I'd have to get up after already getting settled sitting down). Good luck & best wishes

Nothing for the scar. How will they be closing you? My ob used glue and my scar isn't very visible. You can't tell it's there!

At 8 weeks I started using a sugar scrub once a week. After 4 weeks I started using coco butter on it. I second the belly binder and robe! Also gas x!

Definitely get a belly wrap. I never used anything on my incision and have virtually no scar at all now. My OB used staples.

I used a belly binder that the hospital provided. Nothing for the scar.

I used the belly binder from the hospital and the c section panties. I believe the panties claim to help with the scar, though my scar is horrible. I am not sure why, but it is not typical. Anyway, the panties also help bind you without the bulk of the binder. They were good for leaving the house.

I didn't really use anything, I was too paranoid to touch that area! I had staples that came out at 1 week, and the person who removed the staples used steri strips and then I removed the steri stris right before my 2 week checkup. Even at my 2 week appointment it looked pretty good, and healed well and very quickly. I don't know if it's really necessary to put anything on the scar.

Definitely ask for the abdominal binder at the hospital, it helps so much. I didn't anticipate that my scar would be super numb and sensitive so I couldn't put anything on it all like I thought I would. It healed up really well though and when I asked my doctor about it she said she doesn't recommend anything anyway.
