@LindsayInNY: Organix Moroccan curling perfection defining cream is decent, but only if you use a very small amount. Otherwise, you end up looking a little oily. Garnier Fructis style soft curl cream is pretty good, as well.

@luckypenny: I was going to suggest the same one! I have used a bunch of different kinds and I like it best!
I also like Potion No. 9 by Sebastian though it just helps with the frizz not with actually helping curls.

My friend swears by Moroccanoil curl cream, but it did nothing for my hair. I've been using Carol's Daughter Hair Milk Lite Curl Booster for a few years now (the same bottle!). It's the best thing I've tried.

@LindsayInNY: I honestly use Suave curly mouse, it works better than a lot of the more expensive products.

I'm African American with curly hair. I use Miss Jessie's. Not sure if it would work, but they don't only have black models, so you could try it. I like the Stretch Silkining Creme because although my hair is curly, it shrinks. ugh! They have free samples on the site as well.

I'm another for the Moroccan Oil Curl Defining Cream! It's my favorite, and I've tried a bunch, and it smells really good too!

Back before my hair changed, I used to use (and LOVE) Ouidad products. It was created by and for women with all kinds of curly hair. If you go to their website, you can take this little quiz and it'll tell you exactly what products you need.

deva curl products! they sell them on Amazon and Sephora-- I use the shampoo and conditioner as well, but for style, the Angel gel (now just called "light defining gel") is awesome and not crunchy at all, and I love the B'Leave-In conditioner

I've been using Deva Curl products for about 10 years now. I've tried other products occasionally and nothing works as well for me. I use the gel and it isn't crunchy.

Totally cosigning the coconut oil recommendation. Extra Virgin is best and you can buy a hug tub in Amazon for not much.
