My doctor is closed today (as I’m sure most are). I’m supposed to start progesterone today and I’ve read so many research articles that suggest taking progesterone vaginally is much better than orally. However, I don’t know if that’s true for the kind I’ve been prescribed. Is it safe to take vaginally?

If it's the small round red/pink colored like I think they are, they should be oral. Take as prescribed, at least until you talk to your doctor tomorrow.

I dont know your script, but I did the oral route twice, both times successful. It was a smooth glossy white.

@CatchAFallingStar: in my experience, vaginal is a suppository, not a pill. Also, the suppositories are pretty gross. I’d see if they can do one of the long-term shots. Wishing you luck!!

Does it look like this? I took these orally and vaginally.
But I'd check with the doctor. Some want to make sure your numbers get to a certain level, and suppositories don't always show up in blood tests as much as oral ones. Doctor's preferences will vary.
